Tough. It's not an option, just because you can imagine you might want to while not knowing anything else about the plot or circumstances.
It's the end of the World? Why not get Married?

This reminds me of press conferences where reporters keep repeating the same question with minimal variations on the topic they already answered repeatedly in language that had no room for misinterpretation.
So in the spirit of that: Will we have Civil Unions?

Oh well, I guess it's better this way. Even learning those awkward details like what she looks like risks taking away the romance from it.

I've always been of the opinion that marriage is best left to the "happily ever after", if it's an option at all. Doubt I'd ever put it in as something that could actually take place during a game, not unless it's a political marriage or something similarly dramatic and plot-related. That's getting a bit domestic for my tastes, otherwise.
Victory dance!

Ps: If you could also include some refrence of romancing mailboxes we're golden, and I'd laugh so hard.

For all you know, Celina's the big bad of the game, possessed by an ancient Darkspawn seeking to unmake reality.ladyofpayne wrote...

Damn, I know you're answering with a negative so this isn't any sort of "revelation" but I think you just revealed more about the plot than Bioware has the survey was leaked. Are you sure you were allowed to tell us this?
ETA: My two cents on this -- I like the current level of romance content Bioware supports and I wouldn't mind marriages for political or other plot reasons but I really don't see the need to invest a **** load of resources into making Dragon Age a dating sim. Do not want.

this. I like romances but marrying seems to do nothing for the story in my eyes. And it isn't the games whole purpose. I like to think of the romances as a plus.
it may not be a dating sim but it's still a role playing game. If I can choose my character's name, appearance, personality, ideals, who he or she falls in love with, then I see no problem with having the option to marry that love interest. I would certainly expect unique dialogue from that as well.

Maybe you should consider the fact that Dragon Age: Inquisition is NOT going to be Dragon Age: Origins Part Two.
Its going to be a completely different game. Its NOT going to have the same subject matter as Origins or DA2. Why is that so difficult to understand and accept?

Having the choice of marring a king/queen isn't hardly necessary to see difference in role-playing different races.
Plus, you are assuming that the human Inquisitor will have an Orlesian Noble background. The human PC for all we know could be a commoner or (doubful) a Fereldan Noble, or a Noble from another country.

If romancing Celene had ever been an option to begin with, it means that The Masked Empire continued the tradition of ruining lesbian relationships for no reason, so perhaps this is a sign of hope.Wulfram wrote...
