Hawke and Aveline are both busy, Aveline get into much trouble as Hawke get into, Aveline may follow Hawke everywhere Hawke go, furthermore Aveline is a Guard Captain if you make her to be, so as a wife, Guard Captain and Hawke friend Aveline still okay with her life, her life is stable, she and Donnic don't have problem

There is no excuse why Hawke didn't get married or cannot get married, Hawke have no responsibility other than to him/her self...his/her brother/sister and mom dead, his brother/sister may be in the Circle as templar/Circle Mage, his/her brother/sister may be Grey warden and not live in the estate...Hawke have no one to take care off and no one to bother with

Hawke is rich and noble, also a Champion, Kirkwal is full of nobles, if don't want nobles he/she can pick anyone...who don't want to get married with rich and noble Champion?

So why Hawke cannot get married?

In sum:

A. "No marriage for anyone!"
- But some of us want marriage!

B. "Marriage for everyone!"
- But some of us only want sex!

C. "Marriage for some, sex for the rest!"
- But some of us hate romance!

D. "Marriage for some, sex for others, pudding for the rest!"

Is it wrong to want it all?:o
Umm seriously for a moment.
Betcha quite a few paying fans would enjoy a trip to the emotional commitment altar near the end of the game (and quite a few would scoff that idea every chance they get and have a bit too much fun while scoffing).

People are meta-gaming, over thinking the option way too literally, rather than considering the in-game possibilities, stat/inventory boosts, and story progression an *optional* marriage-quest could bring to the table if the right conditions are met. I think some people get too personally offended over the relationship aspect of Bioware games, forgetting that it's the company's one, well-executed gimmick. If they don't like love interests or marriage, then why play a BW game? They know it's there. If they want to avoid it, cool, but it seems like there's this small demographic who purchase BW games, play them, and then accuse the other fans of being obsessed with dating simulators.

Don't ask for weddings. Weddings only happen if they come hand in hand with tragedy. It's so predictable you'd just be asking for it. :P

I've always been of the opinion that marriage is best left to the "happily ever after", if it's an option at all. Doubt I'd ever put it in as something that could actually take place during a game, not unless it's a political marriage or something similarly dramatic and plot-related. That's getting a bit domestic for my tastes, otherwise.

I approve of this answer :)

If it's just an option then that's fine. My Inquisitor won't be getting hitched though, the notion of wedding planning bores me enough in real life as it is.

If I may ask...how did you manage to get that kind of face (your avatar) in a DA game (I guess it was DAO)? I've tried for hours to make something similar...

If it’s the end of the world marriage would be the last thing on my mind.

it seems like it would be an end game thing. but inside the game idk, would seem a bit odd to take time out of important events going on. be so out of place. shrugs i have no clue.

To think about it...Aveline does married with Donnic and going for honeymoon...but Hawke don't get married, having free sex life instead...why?

Well none of the LIs would really make sense to marry during the story.  Unless Anders thought it would be a good cover for bomb planting in the Chantry.

If done in the right context, I could see marrying your LI in a DA game. Story-wise, I would prefer it be the exception rather than the rule though. Also, I would rather that my LI traveled with me, in my party as opposed to being at home in a castle somewhere waiting for me. Just my thoughts :)

Well, Hawke can marry Sebastian and Legacy banters reference it. But I don't want a lot of that sort of thing. I don't like domestic in my games.

Too bad, I like when developers and writers keep their options open.

Maybe not get married, but an option to discuss it even if its just a throw away line before the final charge where the PC is like "So just throwing it out there, but after we're done with this, how would you feel about getting married and living in the woods somewhere?"

Once they add the marriage option there will be threads popping up asking to have babies.
Isn't it how it works here on BSN?

Is there any chance of a political marriage in DA:I?

But why? It was a good option for PC to marry Anora or Alistair. I am sure many people will wants marry Celina or Gaspard.

I guess they are not interested in marrying your Inquisitor?
The marriage with Anora /Alistair is a special case , you were already a noble who in theory could have claimed the throne.

Tough. It's not an option, just because you can imagine you might want to while not knowing anything else about the plot or circumstances.
