I finally got around to playing NWN2 after finishing ME3. I have to say from my first experience playing BG to now the quality and thoughtfulness put into Bioware games makes them stand alone.
NWN 2 is Obsidian
And you have obviously never played DA2.

Even when patched the bugs at release remain. The camera is a sensitive mess and spins around too fast and when you don't want it to. Then are many installation problems for it causing errors in-game such as blurry grass. The game could be good but I don't think I'll ever find out. I'm only hoping that Obsidian aren't dumb enough to release Project Eternity is such an abysmal state because they've taken people's money to make that (and a lot of it) so there should really be no excuses here. I thought Fallout: New Vegas was bad with its bugs but NWN 2 (just in the prologue) is really something else.
NWN 1 remains superior if you ask me and has a better UI and much more customization for the character too in terms of items and crafting. Also the toolset is much more accessible while offering the same level of complexity as the sequel's toolset (well I say sequel but asides from being set in Neverwinter, NWN 2 has no connection to the story of the first at least from what I experienced all the way up to the end of chapter 1 where I stopped playing).
This isn't a Obsidian rant. I'm looking forward to Wasteland 2 and Project Eternity but the bugs in their games are becoming annoying especially when you see good writing and RPG features. Bugs can only be bared so much and for me, the bugs combined with NWN 2's overly sensitive camera (which made the game unplayable for me) just ended it for me.
As for the OP, he said he finished ME3 so...
And two flawed games doesn't make Bioware bad IMO. There's the Baldur's Gate series, NWN 1 Saga, Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2.
I never really liked Jade Empire and I never played KoTOR. Mass Effect 1 had a good story but the gameplay was average at best.
But the best Bioware game of all is...
SONIC CHRONICLES OF THE DARK BROTHERHOOD!
We don't want Mass Effect 4. We don't really want Dragon Age: Inquisition, Bioware. Nor do we want Jade Empire 2. WE WANT SONIC CHRONICLES OF THE DARK BROTHERHOOD 2!
(Say it with me people and they might get to work on this highly anticipated sequel)

Indeed. In other words it's just a bad "whatever it's supposed to be" game.Seboist wrote...
ME3 ain't that bad of a game if you don't take the story seriously and put the game on action mode.

I'm just knocking it's overarching plot relevancy. I like the game overall. It introduced one of my favorite video game characters (Mordin) so it's alright with me.LegendaryAvenger wrote...

Gameplay wise, neither game is anything to write home about and I agree about the toolset and and buggyness of NWN 2 when it came out... BUT if you look at official content....
'story element' wise....MotB >>>>>>>>>>>>>>anything from NWN
