ME2 was tight all the way around. ME3 was tight until up to the very end. I don't think you can blame the doctors for that. I think they sold out and lost creative control. NWN2 was Obsidian, I misspoke. I'm playing Mask of Betrayer and its okay but I don't like the 'thing' it sort of pushes you into. DA2, again, I think creative control was lost and CA Segaized it. Many people like the direction they went but I miss the depth of DAO.
