Help! Ive tried everything from the client extension and turning off all settings and setting core affinity to one or zero but this choppy movement dosent seem to go away!

please help me, perhaps i don't know how to use the client? its used by opening NWlauncher.exe right?  you don't have to place it somewhere special right?

****ty movement, including rubber banding and other such nonsense, along with random camera turning acceleration etc., are all perfectly normal for this game. It's not a technical issue on your end, the engine just really really really really sucks.

Restarting the computer temporarily fixes some of the timing issue that causes choppy movement. The client extension fixes some other aspects of the choppy movement, but not all of it.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but the game works fine for me most times. The only glitch I get is the one where characters will sometimes warp to a location, but I rarely see that. Sometimes I get gliding enemies but again that's rare.

OP should list specs? Sometimes a bad graphics card is just a bad graphics card.

I've played the game on three different computers. The current one kicks the crap out of the game's requirements, and yet I still often get the exact same nonsense I mentioned with the camera, even when the framerate is 60+. You probably just don't see it because you're so used to it, and haven't played a similar game where the camera isn't so horrible and then jumped right into NWN2 to compare. Or perhaps you always have a less sentitive mouse, which should mitigate the problem.

I'm sure the majority of systems kicks the cans outta NWN2's specs now, it is a really old game. But we can't just assume that's the case with the OP.

Btw you can massively reduce the amount of teleporting your characters do by using the mouse for movement commands. WASD movement is 10 times more buggy. This is because, for some brilliant reason, the engine allows you to move the characters with WASD in many situations where it shouldn't (like at the final stages of spellcasting when you've cast the spell but the character is still doing the animation), but then the engine wakes up and realizes what it's done and rubber bands you right back /facepalm.

Teleporting before or after a conversation is likely not a bug, but an intended scripted event.

Shadows disappearing when you scroll back is not a bug, but a chosen graphics setting.

Advanced Graphics tab>Environment Shadow Quality (Far). If it's already set to "high", then it's at its max. You may be able to increase the distance in the .ini file, but the more you bump up the shadows, the choppier your performance will be.
