The right hand side of the Projects home page displays 4 featured projects. These featured projects have been stagnant for a long time, sorry Beerfish, but those Excel Utilities have been there long enough, time to make room for someone else... We have some different ones ready to feature, as soon as the web guys have a minute to swap them out.

On this thread, nominate a project (with downloadable content currently available) that you think everyone should know about, so we can feature it soon.

In addition to having downloadable content there should also be a requirement that a project has a logo as having the projects with the placeholder images on the site's front page and the project pages is a bit naff.

Also it would be nice to feature new or less well known project i.e. those outside the each category's Top 10. Projects within the Top 10 or within a category's Top 10 get the enough attention simply from being there.

I nominate Monster Mash because it is lots of zombie slaying fun and because, like LRRHR, a B2B file and the source files for Monster Mash have been made available to the community.

I'll put forward DAQuest. Although it isn't 100% finished, it's a fairly unique application of the DA engine worth checking out.

I think we should feature the Toolset Wiki Editors group. Hopefully if more people see it, we'll get more things happening on the Toolset Wiki!

I second the nomination for DAQuest. It's a really interesting mod. Completely changes the styles of game you can create, giving lots of interesting opportunities for future mods. Needs spell and grammar checking, as well as voice acting, but otherwise seems pretty solid. Fun story, old-school mechanics, and set in the DA universe, at least on the surface of it.

I would be honored if you guys would check out my new playable Warden's Arena. I think you will enjoy it, it's not finished with VO's and cutscenes or anything but otherwise is complete. I am going to be looking for helpers on it soon :)

How about something light and usefull that brings a bit of color in everybody's life, like ... let's say ... umm ...  the one linked in my signature? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angel.png[/smilie]

And for the advanced user I'd like to nominate ChewyGumball's "DA:O Toolset Model Exporter", Adinos' "DA:O Tool: DA model manipulator", and codepoetz' "DAToolChest: Builder's Toolchest" all of which make the modders life much easier (or possible at all)

I feel my Fragments of Ferelden deserves a brief stint as a featured mod while it is one of the few finished story modules.  Then it can be replaced by the horde of oncoming ones ^_^

Well, I'll join the other builders in requesting their own mod be featured - Alley of Murders is the first user made Add-In for the single player campaign to feature full VO work (As far as I am aware). It also integrates into the single player campaign, including companion interjections and NPC reactions to main story actions.
I'd definitely be honoured to have it as a featured project.

I've updated DAQuest to version 1.20 (includes mainly spelling fixes) and it is considered as final and thus can be put on the list of featured projects, if so seen fit.

I would suggest a TOTAL revision of THIS site. I mean, it's not optimal as it is for a community of wannabe builders, it's just a difficulty on top of the new toolset difficulties. The request of this thread sounds just.. odd. Years of Vault developments and no lesson has been learned.

Not that community self-made solutions for DA content are much better currently, the only thing functional is DAwiki, but even that site is not that good, flashy and full of commercials.

This site as it is helps groups but cuts everyone else out, left wandering in a sea of "ABCD test Coolest Project of the World" and similars.

Updating the "Featured" ones is a temporary solution at best. And an unfair solution no matter the choices, therefore I have not any projects to suggest.

I nominate Alley of Murders which is a DA add-on adventure. It's challenging, well-written and fully voiced. It really centralises on the difficult choices you have to make and adds to the dark atmosphere that surrounds the game.

AmstradHero did a wonderful job with this.

Yeah, sorry got carried away. I deserve the fluffyamoeba disapproves -10. Ouch.

I'll atone by throwing another vote for Amstrad's module "Alley of Murders" (Monster Mash is there already.. ; ) )

I'd also like to vote for Alley of Murders. Very nicely done and one of the first of its type released to the community.

I also have a fancy for DAQuest. A pretty unique and original retro concept. Really nice to see campaign-like projects reaching maturity, that's definitely the kind of modules you want the spotlights on : they're flattering for Dragon Age. ^_^
(I could also say that last sentence about Alley of Murders, for instance, but one has to choose. ^_~)
