Bioware will naturally continue this trend.

Yeah i heard that there was some exclusivity contract with Microsoft since the IP was created exclusively on the 360 and plus we all know ports to the PS3 don't go too well*cough*orangebox*cough*
Orange Box is fine on PS3, it just doesn't receive any patches because EA stupidly chose to port it independently of Valve, and Valve refuses to touch it as a result.

Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire were both Xbox (and PC) only.

Except Dragon Age which is also for the PS3, which in fact I am playing it right now.
Also, for those who didn't read, I have an Xbox 360 and bought two of them over the years and both broke down which lead me to go to the PS3. I have a Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and a fully loaded gaming PC. So those going into Nerd Rage without reading, well yeah you'll keep on.
I expected my comment on the PC Controls to get a negative response but wow. Anyways, I hope someone can still clear up that question for the few who actually took the time to read what I said. Thank you

Anyway, I think the reason BioWare didn't make a PS3 version is because they just go for whatever console is the easiest to program for. That would be the Xbox 360. It's also been confirmed that the Windows version doesn't support a controller because the interface has been redesigned.

It's funny cause it's true.

Microsoft is not concerned about competition from PC sales of Me2 since PC sales are a much smaller market share than console sales.
That said, I do not believe there was necessarily an exclusivity deal with MS this time as there was with ME1.
The ME2 game engine is an upgraded / improved version of the ME1 engine. The base coding and structure is already there... however, it was built using directX technology Windows (in other words.. on a Windows OS computer). Playstation 3 uses its own seperate programming tools and operating system completely different from Windows architecture.
So when they made ME2, they had the core achitecture from ME1 and just upgraded it. However, in order to make the game work on PS3, they would have to take the core achitecture and completely rebuild it for/using PS3 programming tools/OS. This is a somewhat intensive and lengthy process - they cannot just "cut and paste" the coding over. Most of it has to be completely re-written.
Generally during game production for multi-console games, the team codes the game for 1 architecture while a smaller unit "translates" it to the other architecture. The core team does the heavier load of work and the smaller 2nd team only has to worry about translation... so generally speaking, both versions / engines of the game get finished at the same time.
But for ME2, they would have had to convert the ME1 engine to playstation architecture while the team was working on ME2... and then proceed to include the upgrades to the ME2 engine on the playstation version while they were being designed / implemented on the Windows version... this would have resulted in significant manpower / resource expenditure / financial cost. I suspect they ultimately deemed the cost of this was not worth the potential sales they would have gained from a ps3 launch.
The general gaming public does not understand that the coding for the two consoles (PS3 / Xbox) are almost completely different - they have only very very few similiarities. This means you basically need to almost do twice the work (well.. more like 1.5x the work.. but it's still a lot).
Since Xbox version is made using Windows OS architecture (a custom NT version actually from what I understand), it costs them almost no additional effort / resources to make a Windows PC release as well - it's basically like bonus cash in the pocket to release a PC version if you make a Xbox version, considering how little work is needed to do it.
