Kevl helped me fix a constitution bug which occurs when you equip the silver sword and another item which gives a con bonus.. (it always happens with 2 con bonus giving items).

http://social.biowar...16579251-1.html

Thats the thread.

Ive run into this issue again when I get *the silver shard from aldanon*. Which gives a +1 bonus to con amongst other things.. Now. I know all I have to do is apply the same fix as kevl showed me in the thread I mentioned. But I dont know which script to fix.

So I was hoping annyone knew which script I had to fix?

There probably isn't a script for that. The sword is very unusual; this shard is just another item.

You will edit the blueprint for the shard, removing the CON bonus. Then load the game before you talk to Aldanon, go see him, and he'll give you the new edited version.

Start the toolset and undock the Blueprints and Properties windows, resize them etc. so they're both showing. In the Blueprints window, click on Items. Since that's a unique plot item, it won't be on the list yet; you'll have to open the proper Module. It's probably C:\\Program Files\\Atari\\Neverwinter Nights 2\\Modules\\2000_Neverwinter.mod , but you'll see there are other Neverwinter modules in that folder, so you may have to hunt a little. When you open the module, the toolset will load for a while, then you will see a bunch of new module-specific items show up on the Items list (they will be in boldface, meaning you can edit them directly without making a copy first). Find the proper shard and click on it - it will show up in the Properties window. In that window, look for the line that is also named Properties (or some variation), open that and you can modify the item. When done, right-click on its name back in the Blueprints window and save it. Make sure the resref and/or tag didn't get changed by the toolset (it shouldn't be but it doesn't hurt to glance at it; one of those is changed if you make a copy and edit the copy). Again, note where it's saved and go move it to override (unlike scripts you edit, this won't disappear when you close the toolset).

If you don't have a save before seeing Aldanon, you can still give yourself this item with the giveitem console command (leave the original in a crate or something).  Use the name of the file you saved minus the extension - that is, if the file is "nw_shard2.uti" you would use "giveitem nw_shard2".

I do have a save right before seeing aldanon. Ill try your way. It seems a bit complicated so I might have to ask some more questions if I get stuck.

Thanks.

Okay. I have gotten as far as opening the file in the properties window(its the right shard, I checked). And I have located the item properties entry. But how Do I edit it? If I click on it nothing happens. I cant open it. If I try typing ctrl-O, it does not work either.

Do you mean I can edit directly in the properties window on the right side in the tool set?

Yes.  The Properties window is tied to what you have selected (either on the blueprints list or on clicked on in the area map).

Okay, I've opened things up and I'm looking at it right now. Strangely, the item is not module specific so it's not highlighted. This means you can't edit it directly. Right click on it in the Items list and do Copy Blueprint/To Module. You will edit that copy - make sure to return its Resource Name to the original nwn2_it_shard3 .

You make the CON change in the Item Properties line.

Okay, I was able to make it work. Con bonus is gone. But in the ingame description of the shard. It says: Enhanc. bonus: Con. bad strff.

Its no big problem of course. Just wondering why it happened. in the item properties. I changed the +1 to None.

Go back and remove the bonus altogether.  When the Item Properties box is open, Remove Property button is at the bottom of the Current Properties panel and becomes active when you highlight one of the Current Properties.
