What glitches are considered acceptable/unacceptable?

Even if you know about incendiary glitching and plan on doing it, it's still not as bad because of the nature of the glitch. Intentional or not, it's a mechanic of the game.
Maxing characters is clearly cheating though, and there's no justification for it. You're just being silly now saying that it takes more strategy because you have more skill trees to choose from. Those are almost always straightforward, easy decisions. It's much harder when you have a limited number of points to spend.
And you can still use whatever ammo type you want on classes that can do the incendiary glitch. But completely removing one of the best ammo types in the game for 22 characters isn't fair at all.
Like it or not everything that went unfixed is a mechanic of this game now, intentional or not. This includes full specs.
I didn't say it took more strategy, I said that point allocation was pretty irrelevant to strategy(at least to mine) and that a full spec doesn't really reduce the amount of strategy in building a character, much less completely remove it.
While there are some evolutions which are a no brainer and there are some kits which point allocation can alter the play style while keeping it viable, I would side with evolutions having a more widespread effect.
You have things like Nova Half/Full Blast, Cloak Duration/Damage, rank 4 and 5 of Cluster Grenade, Fitness shields/health vs melee build, etc.
As I said before, IR is only the best ammo power because it is glitched. It's also fair to take it away if it makes them overpowered.
You act like not using IR on those kits will make them useless.

How is it not a mechanic of the game? It's been there since the start, people didn't even know about it for a while. It turns out, hey, combine fire with warp/incinerate/inferno grenades/flamer, and you do more damage. Just like how warp rounds do more damage to biotic primed targets. Just like how cluster grenades can do more damage to biotically primed targets, not just lifted things. Just how like biotic charge does more damage to frozen/chilled targets. Etc. Even though this combo may not have been intentional, and may be very overpowered, it is still a part of natural gameplay. The fact that you would have to make a conscious effort to avoid doing this glitch on a whole lot of characters says enough.
I don't believe for a second any of those people who were like, "whoops, maxed out all my powers accidentally" actually didn't know what they were doing.

lolno. IIRC bioware even admitted that incendiary+fire DOT power effects weren't supposed to glitch out.
Taking Incendiary with a Fire DOT power into a game is no more 'accidental' than 6/6/6/6/6 ing.

So missile glitching is okay because it was never fixed? That makes no sense. Bioware even said that 6/6/6/6/6 characters were a bannable offense. Of course, nobody will ever get banned for it, but it's still a declaration that the glitch is wrong and not meant to be used.
Argue all you want over strategy, but 6/6/6/6/6 glitching is still unfair. Can incendiary glitching give a player even more of an advantage and be even more unfair? Sure. But as I stated before it's the nature of the glitch that makes it acceptable.
And Incendiary rounds would still be tied for best ammo power with armor piercing and warp rounds for the best ammo power in the game, even without glitches.

I'm not of the belief that every mechanic okay to do in a public game. That's more up to the people in the game to decide if they're okay with it or not, similar to how back in my Counter-Strike days servers would not allow the AWP to be used.
In a private lobby, I couldn't really care less about what you do in there.
Full spec being 'unfair' is irrelevant as you already stated IR is unfair as well. As for the nature of the glitch, I don't believe for a second that people were like "whoops, used Reegar Carbine with Incendiary Rounds on my Warp kit accidentally" did not know what they were doing =P
Actually without glitches, Warp Rounds are better on the kits that have Warp because of the biotic damage. Incendiary Rounds are still strong because of armour damage and fire explosions.
My Incendiary Rounds have been modified to fix the glitches, so I have actually seen what they would like without them and used them.

Pretty much this.
I made a thread explaining how I 6/6/6/6/6 glitched every kit I could and the only ones where it mattered was the Geth Trooper, the Collector Adept... And something else, I forget which one.
For instance... Typical Asari Huntress build is 6/6/6/5/3. A 6/6/6/6/6 Huntress has 10% more weapon damage, 200 more health/shields (still gets gated in one shot), and 15% better shield recharge delay. Hardly game breaking at all... And that example was par for the course. Juggy gets both turret and shield... Big whoop, Krolord gets both hammers, big whoop, Volus get full garbage fitness trees, etc. Etc. Etc.
Some kits are so bad they deserve to be glitched... Like the SaboTurian.
The Shaman, Collector, Trooper, Juggernaut, Sabotuer, Talon, Hunter, and Valkyrie all get improved greatly. And the infiltrators turn super OP, way more than they already are. So unfair really. Even the ones I didn't list get a pretty nice boost to their effectiveness.
LOL. Looking at your N7 HQ, you glitched out ALL of your characters. No wonder you're defending this. You want to make it seem like it's not a big deal. If it really doesn't matter, then don't use the glitch.
LMAO, this guy (megabeast37215) has 22 characters! fully maxed out (6/6/6/6/6) and hasn't accomplished even one Platinum solo! To activate the incendiary glitch, you just put on incendiary rounds. Totally acceptable game behavior. To do the 5x6 builds, you are intentionally going against how the game was designed to be played.
It's irrelevant because you said that Incendiary Rounds is also unfair. They're both unfair by your own words.
Either way, I've never known life to be fair anyway. It's not fair that the TGI has top notch survivability and damage output while my Turian Saboteur is fairly weak in both even with a full spec.
but according to you, it's unfair for the TGI because the Saboteur is using a full spec.
To clarify, I am not talking about Incendiary Rounds doing 3x damage when stacked with itself. I am talking about stacking it with abilities to make it inherit defence modifiers so that it can deal damage to shields/barriers and massive amounts of damage to armour.
So no, you do not "just put on Incendiary Rounds".

I like and respect you cato. But then answer me these two questions: why does an extremely good player need to use a cheap cheat like maxing 22 of his characters out 6/6/6/6/6?! And why does he have to belittle every thing Caineghis has done to entertain us subscribers (and Caineghis has done some excellent stuff, no doubt about his quality as a player and his talent to entertain people)?! I mean, that's strange dude. Also, I 100% agree with you cato, that accomplished a Platinum solo doesn't make one player better than another - but it's also strange to me how megabeast can belittle Caineghis for every Platinum solo he made while himself never has done it. If it's so ****ing easy like he's saying all the time on Caineghis threads, then why don't he just let some action follow after his words?cato_84 wrote...

If we are both using a class with warp on the other hand, and I use incendiary rounds and you do not, I am merely just using the mechanics of the game to my favor.
