There was nothing funny about the Kotor twist. I simply sat there, dumbfounded
. But yeah, I hope they include a really big twist in the game, hopefully something completely earth shattering.

Really? I saw it coming a million miles away.

There ware so many things giving it away.

I didn't find such a horrifying and complete annihilation of the character I had created to be all that "awesome" in KotOR, actually.

So I guess on some level, I sure hope not. But that's not really what it is--it's the standard Bioware "...and only I/my companions made it out alive" intro.

was it really the complete annihilation of the character though? i mean, you're aware that you're character has a backstory at the beggining, but from that point on you decide what they're like. just as at the end you make the decision what to do once you've found the twist.
Its like saying the origins  from DA:O ruin the character.

I hope it all ends up being a dream. At the end of the game a 1970's hippie wakes up from a drug-induced delirium, goes to Boston to find his long lost ferret and then goes on to win a fashion show.

Man, that would be so awesome.

OGB is main foe in DA:I and you have to defeat him, then you will wake up in the ME3 universe as Shepard after he got hit by Harbinger and because OGB = starchild, Shepard will know how to finish the child. That's why Bioware didn't change the endings in ME3 until now.

I can't come up with any situation where the twist goes against your character concept yet the first minute of the game does not.

Perhaps there is some truth to the theory that the inquisitor has more in common with Cole than we like to think? ^^

Yeah, both the JE and KotOR twists blew me out of my socks. I thought I knew what the JE twist was before revelation came, and I suppose I had indeed figured part of it, but holy crap all that foreshadowing just came back and I felt completely shattered!

The KotOR one I didn't see coming at all, yet the (awesome) flashbacks showed me that I had indeed been warned. Blown away to this day =)

I saw the KotOR twist coming a mile away.

JE was sort of a better twist though, because of the way the story unfold. You can sense something is wrong because the NPCs are like sledgehammers...

I liked the plot twist in ME1, that Soveriegn was an actual Reaper. The conversation had with him of Virmire left my jaw hanging on the floor. It was pretty hard to wrap your head around the fact that the Protheans were just the most recent cycle of total galactic annihilation, accomplished by a force too mammoth to fathom.

Too bad ME3 took ME1 and invalidated roughly 90% of what made the story interesting.

Is the Bioware twist anything like this? Because if it is, I'm for it!

You ran in at the last second after everybody was dead. You just passed out after seeing the carnage.

I can just see a repeat of the Dragonborn DLC trailer for Skyrim.

"You did not think you were the first did you?"
*ominous pause*
"I was the first.......... INQUISITOR..!!!"

The Inquisitor is a very, very lucky human/elf/qunari/dwarf.

But if there has to be a twist, I would guess built in Spirit habitat, where Valor, Compassion, and other spirits frolic around inside the Inquisitor, keeping them running, whether they like/trust the spirits or not.

Is a character who rejects the Jedi Council and goes o war character-breaking? Is a character who turns to the Dark Side character breaking?

Yes. Yes, you bet it is.

How about a "Good" alignment? The whole Dark Side thing shatters that to pieces.

How about...you're actually the bad guy, and the darkspawn are the goodies? XD

I actually think about that...you see, Darkspawn is The Maker's wrath to punish human, to destroy the world, but Grey Warden stop the Blight and thus failed the God's plan, 5 times...The Maker also created many Mages into the world to destroy the world through abominations...Templars suppress all the Mages lock them up and kill them...

And lastly, through Justice, Anders blow up the Chantry...now Spirits are the Maker"s children, so, think about it, if spirits are the Maker's children, then they are children of God, meaning they are Gods...so children of God possessed a Mage to blow up the Chantry, the place where peoples worship the His father...

see that?

Only if you insist that pre-amnesia Revan and post-amnesia Revan have they same personality and values.  There's no reason to do that.

Children of God =/= Gods.

I think, DA world is actually supposed to be destroyed long ago, it have been reach it's end time, but Grey Warden prolong it by destroying the Blight and Templars prolong it by locking up Mages

The citizen of Thedas are actually live under the wrath of God, but they don't realize it because the Chantry cover up with Grey Warden and Templar as their tool...the world should have been destroyed but the Chantry deny it

Thedosians live in "borrowed" time....

So the Inquisitor maybe let the world destroyed by following God's plan or sided with the devil who is the Chantry-Grey Warden-Templar to prolong the world time....

The "visions" are reason enough. The visions are actually memories. If Revan has memories, it's because Revan is the same Revan that was before the "amnesia." If Revan is the same Revan, then that means that the character that I say is neutral good is actually NOT, because that Revan rebelled against the Jedi Council and later turned to the Dark Side.

...That makes no sense.  Because Revan remembers doing evil things in a past life, despite having a neutral-good personality and corresponding moral values now and not even knowing they were memories at first, Revan must be evil?  How does it even matter?

Well,I guess there's going to be "twist" in the story.
We have very few information about the Inquisition.
It's an organization dead for 1000 years ...I expect some twist about what really happen during the time of the Chantry creation.

And our missing Warden and Hawke , there is something going on .Will the Inquisitor suffer the same fate?

And I think our Inquisitot may end up a very super special snowflake , just to explain how he/she can have army in such a short time ...with the whole being qunari/dwarf/elf/mage ...

But yeah I expect twist and turn , just because we're going to deal with a lot of mystery.
Morrigan , the fade , the Inquisition reborn , dragons etc...

The Maker cannot stand it anymore, so He open up the Veil and sent His children to do the job...maybe the world should be moved into next "age" or "different world" long ago, the Chantry know this, but they cover it up...

Maybe The Maker intended to create new race to fill up the world, but before that must destroy every living being through Darkspawn, logically, Darkspawn will perish after all the world is tainted because they need women to procreate, they can't procreate themselves, so when the world is Blighted 100% they will naturally perish and new race can inhabit the world

But since there is always Grey Warden to stop the Blight, The Maker's plan changed, He directly use His children to destroy the world by opening up the Veil....so we actually defying God if defend the world, and if we let the world destroyed then we are the faithful servant of God

The "past life" part makes no sense. There is no "past life" and "present life." There is only one life.

I think our point of contention (it's this with another person I know here) is the Jedi mind-wipe. I don't think it actually erases the personality. If it did, it would erase the memories. Others believe it does.

If it does NOT erase the personality, then that personality exists, or existed, within my character. My character was the kind of person who would rebel against the Jedi Coucil. My character was the kind of person who would go to nefarious places and seek the Dark Side.

Except I didn't create the kind of character. I created a neutral Good character, and the game tells me 3/4 of the way through that my character is actually a different person. It would be allowable actually if it happened in the intro or something, to allow me to craft my character around it. But you don't know about it until it's too late.

That doesn't make sense. The Maker created Thedas while spirits were still around--why would He wait until Thedas is destroyed to create a new world or new race?

And I'll point out, that if you actually believe your theory, are you saying that the Warden and Hawke both were defying the Maker already? Because the Warden is a Warden, and Hawke was trying to defuse the Mage/Templar issue.
