I actually dislike Liara, and was annoyed that she was so intently shoe horned into Shepard every ten seconds in ME3, but I'll be the first one to admit that her love scene is the best one BioWare has ever made.

You said "meh I guess" for Ashley. You didn't actually say she was meh. And you admitted Jack was good. So that's 2 goods and 1 meh. But if you're gonna backpeddle on it now then forget it.

My honest opinion is simply if you are going to do it, do it right.
Either fade to black and call it done, or show a well directed tasteful scene of the quality you would expect to see in a movie of similar rating. Either do it right, or don't do it.

The idea that video games will always have bad scenes is just bias and people not accepting that it can be better. So Bioware, pull up your grownup pants and make a mark.

Put the camera behind females, show characters from the waist up, whatever... but let naked time be naked. The "intimate apparel" in both DA games so far has been litterally laughable. It totally kills the impact of the moment when I chuckle out loud when I see the that stuff.

I still cannot understand why an M rated game that features arterial spurt from severed limbs or necks should be afraid of an errant nipple, but I can certainly enjoy the game and the romance scenes without needing all the naughty bits to be rendered on my screen. The first Mass Effect was, as far as I'm concerned, nearly perfect in this regard.

TW2 tried and look what happen. We had bad animation, penis taboo and horrible moaning.

Nope Liara has a ninja bug if you pick the renegade no. I got hit by it on my poor renedouche and unlike Ashley there was no nuke solution.
