Do the people on this thread realize they're just making their complaints laughable instead of legitimate by including this very stupid whining?

Need to be more specific there, champ, unless you're just trying to rustle jimmies.

I just fail to see why you think that.  The game fails on numerous levels completely unrelated to the ending.

For instance...

Go back to whatever sh*tty JRPG you crawled out of Kai leng

Note the mask. Not that this is a sh*tty JRPG. It just sprung to mind. I'll give you the Reezus backhand if you ever call Fire Emblem a sh*tty JRPG.

You are implying that that's not his/her sole purpose on these forums ^_^

Right now, I have a pretty low opinion of Walters myself. And it's a shame there are so very few complaints about him on this forum that aren't idiotic or completely unfounded.

What's the conclusion to draw if all the people criticizing something are idiots?

Such as feel free to pick up a specific complaint you have issue with instead of generalizing.

Do you realize that no one takes you seriously and that you are the laughing stock of this forum?

I take him seriously. Or at least consider him worth listening to.

Typically, David, the way an argument works is the rebuttal of a specific argument and then a presentation of a new one, or a modified version of the previous argument. :P

Do I carry some kind of aura around with me that ensures that no one can ever read my posts properly?

And I think that’s one of the things we really underestimated, which was how much ownership people would take over a character that they could do that. You know, you’ve been given free choice to make all these decisions with this character, with the fates of millions of people, and then, you don’t get to choose your own fate. And I’m not saying that our decision was wrong or right. I think we just underestimated the impact that would have on certain players. To be fair, I get people, especially at the Cons, who will say, “I loved it. It was heart-wrenching, but I felt it was right for my Shepard.” And to me, that’s why it was the right path.

Games are the most unique bit of art, as they must be interacted with and require participation from the player to be properly expressed. It's not surprising to come to terms with people becoming more attached to a video game character(or your first-person avatar) than someone that is simply watched from a distance.

But because there was no choice, it was going to be right for some people, and for others, in the middle, and other people were obviously very upset about it. In hindsight, I don’t think there was anything we would have changed about that, but it is a really good lesson learned.

It was far from the only issue, but it's one big one to tackle. The "But Thou Must" direction for the game was unsurpringly a turn-off for many of the fans.

How's life in the toolshed? Take your self-righteousness to someone who gives a crap, because you're not adding anything constructive at all. Your constant need to pick a fight with people who seemingly cannot agree with you is duly noted. People can speak their minds about his writing as freely as they wish to, try to respect that for Christ sake or ignore this thread. It's not that hard, really.
