Wow, David's jimmy-rustling is very effective. No man should carry that much power.

Right now, I have a pretty low opinion of Walters myself. And it's a shame there are so very few complaints about him on this forum that aren't idiotic or completely unfounded.

What's the conclusion to draw if all the people criticizing something are idiots?

How's life in the toolshed? Take your self-righteousness to someone who gives a crap, because you're not adding anything constructive at all. Your constant need to pick a fight with people who seemingly cannot agree with you is duly noted. People can speak their minds about his writing as freely as they wish to, try to respect that for Christ sake or ignore this thread. It's not that hard, really.

No, I don't think I'll do that.

If you don't want your words criticized, perhaps you should keep them to yourself instead of posting them on an online forum?

Share? I have sunflower seeds, rum and Dr. Pepper

I have Dorito's and Tequila.

And I have a little poem about David and Xil, and how they continue to defy the BSN:

“Last call,” announced the barkeep and then their eyes did meet. Betty the Bearded Lady, and Tom the Four-inch Freak.

Tom lowered his voice and made a pass, “What’re you doin’ later?” Betty thought as she stroked her beard,
“Nothin’ sweet potater.”

People pointed, jokes were made, but it fell on four deaf ears. Tom thrust his tiny shoulders back, and ignored the painful jeers. “Betty,” he said, “The world can be such a cruel, unfeeling place.” She said, “I know my little punkin’,”
and kissed his tiny face.

She carried him through the parking lot, to the woods that lay beyond. Never before had either felt such an instant common bond. “Betty,” he said, gazing down at his tiny platform shoe, “Tonight I would like nothing more
than to make sweet love to you.” She said, “I’m a virgin.” He said, “So am I.” She said, “Don’t you think that’s weird?” He said, “Not really, I’m four inches tall and, you know, you’ve got the beard.”

She pressed him tight against her bosom, he inhaled her perfumed air. He covered her neck with tiny hickies,
and stroked her facial hair. The moonlight danced off his cowboy hat,
she giggled and she swayed. She undid his tiny rhinestone belt. A cricket looked away.

She set him down, unzipped her dress, still tipsy from the booze. She tripped pulling off her panties, and crushed him with her shoes.

Bearded Betty never married. Her mistake sure took its toll. She still owns that pair of shoes, and Tom’s still in her sole.

To actually criticize you'd need to be more specific about what you found disagreeable, still waiting on that.

You don't think you'll do that? Then what do you think then? Do you think you might add something constructive, maybe, beyond insulting people? Because if not then I do think you should leave and find another thread. I do not think I want to discuss anything with someone like you, especially anything that is irrelevant to the topic of this thread. Perhaps you should think of taking your own advice, perchance? Because from the way I see it right now - No one is interested in discussing with you, because you do not seek discussion. You seek only to rile people up for some arbitrary pleasure of yours, perhaps -- At that point, I personally would find other people to discuss with. Just my advice, if you care for such things at all. I do not want to discuss anything with you -- I merely replied to your rather questionable post and that's it. I'm done here, and I'm done with you.

I don't feel rustled. Just amused.

Plus, the sheer irony of his posts. It's too humorous to be taken seriously. His narcissism is what makes him such a hoot.

He really, legitimately thinks that people take him seriously and that they hold his opinion and values in high esteem in a narrative work. I don't think any of us have ever seen someone so into himself before, especially not to such comical levels.

I have to ask David and any others who are against criticism being levied at Mac Walters being unjust concerning attachment to their Shepard's (or oblivious to that fact) a question?

How is it that I can..........

-Choose my back story
-Change my physical appearance
-Alter all my skills
-Alter the story around me i.e. (Kill damn near 85% of potential squad mates throughout the series, alter the Council and simply change the galaxy)

and NOT be physically vested into my character?

I have to believe that people like you are just turning a blind eye (Fanboyism) or are simply trolling to troll.

Again, this is simply a way for Bioware to deflect the criticism or PR mumbo jumbo.

You'd have a point if people's words were all you commented on, or if most of your posts didn't contain an unnecessarily large amount of pointless, insulting rhetoric.

Unless the copyeditor introduces the error. I've seen that happen a couple of times.

I know. I talk about a lot of people who are off their rocker. It makes this place interesting.

It's so scathing, right?

The issue is, David wants, and believes, that he and his ideas/opinions/beliefs/values/standards/judgements are to the BSN and video games in general what 'Citizen Kane' or 'Apocalypse Now' are to cinema.

The truth is, David is actually more like Plan 9 From Outer Space. He's celebrated and well known, but not for the reasons he thinks or wants.

Granted, some people do legitimately believe that Plan 9 is an excellent art film.

I am one of them. And it's why I don't believe for a second that dear David is a troll.

That level of sheer ineptitude and incompetence and plain badness to a point of hilarity cannot be faked. You can't try to be that bad. You just are.
