The reason Venom is more popular on consoles than on PC is because it is a charge weapon and charge weapons are much more fun to use on consoles due to the trigger button on the console controllers being easier to hold than the mouse button on the PC.

Part of me wonders if the venom suffers a little more on PC than console. We all know now that the reegar is better at higher fps, perhaps the venom has more "dead" shots on PC due to how amazing Origin servers are compared to xbox and PS3.

Just a thought. Not really any way to test, but it could explain why it is hated so on PC.

The venom is awesome and a big help with mooks on platinum. Also, has any of the haters experienced the glory of multiple venom users at once? SO MUCH SCREEN SHAKE!!! XD

This one understands. Venom is the only weapon (maybe Raider too) that I would use on the shittiest host ever.

I used it on my KroSol plat solo. It is much more effective on host so it doesn't see much use for me but is a pretty cool and quite underrated weapon. The good thing about it is it handles every enemy in the game fairly well.

You miss with shots that would have hit on host because the enemy is not actually in the same position in the hosts game. It's that simple.

It's good on the AIU and the Krogans, but it depends on who's using it.... I love Cryo ammo with it though.

but if you like it, use it regardless of what the BSN says. It's not really a terrible weapon.

As for a perfect fit, I'd say a melee kit that can use a stagger due to it being the only staggerstick with access to a 50% omni-blade.

AI is predictable and if you played the game long enough it's much easier to hit an enemy with shooting the floor with AoE by predicting considering the amount of lag. I never had issues hitzing enemies offhost with Venom. But then again, I'm so used to Venom, that it feels like a part of me(if that makes any sense), so it might just be me.

That is pretty bad. I doubt it is possible to get a less useful pack. Maybe an explosive ammo 3 instead of targetting vi or stabilisation module.

What percentage of shots with the Venom do people use as charged shots? I would say only one in three for me.
