One quick Google search later....huzzah!

Basically followed these instructions to replace the face with a .mor in the override directory. At this point I saved my game and exited, so I didn't exactly test it thoroughly, but I'll hang onto that save so I can use it if need be, or if you've got anything specific you suggest testing.

Thanks for your help! I'm so excited to have my Ultimate Sacrifice Warden AND my Orlesian Warden-Commander in the same universe!!!

So you had to change the face to get it right, but as far as the body goes, you just needed to save and load the game, interesting. I suppose one could use that face change workaround if they really want a customized looking Orlesian Warden.

Thanks for testing it out, I'll update my first post in case someone wants to do that. Also, just to let you know, you can also use that with a DR Warden from Origins. That means you can choose not to have your Origins Warden become Warden Commander and let the Orlesian Warden do it, so your Origins Warden either stays at court as councilor or becomes queen, and not forced to go manage Amaranthine.

You can also use this to change your wardens face:

http://www.nexusmods...age/mods/1734/?

After you have changed your warden into an Orlesian you can save the game and exit, then start a new save with a warden of the same race as the Orlesian and create the face that you want to use. When you are done you save that game as well, then exit Dragon age and use the program from the link to swap faces. It's really easy and nice if you don't like messing with the toolset.

------

Also, if you want to keep some of your runes from the old warden, you can make Sandal enchant a weapon with them, then equip Mhairi with that weapon before you change your warden into an orlesian. She keeps the armor, weapons and jewelry she has equipped.

-----

And before I forget: Thank you TurretSyndrome :) This tutorial has been really helpful.

How exactly does The Origins Warden staying home work while the Orlesian warden goes to work in Amaranthine affect the long run canon meaning Golems, Witch Hunt, DA2, and stuff?

Depends on what order you do each DLC. With Amaranthine last, it will be your Origins Warden who goes through GoA and Witch Hunt, with it first, it will be your Orlesian Warden for Golems of Amgarrak. I don't know who shows up for Witch Hunt if you complete Awakening right after Origins with both wardens alive though, haven't tested that. As for DA 2, it will import all the flags correctly if that's what you were asking.

I just wanted to take a few minutes and say thanks for this. With the upcoming release of Inquisition my interest in Dragon Age has been growing again. I played the first one at launch, being a big fan of the old Baldur's Gate games, but I was in school at the time. I blitzed through it over Christmas break and by the time the DLC and expansion came out I was already busy with school and other things.

Time passed and eventually I was able to pick up the Ultimate Edition for cheap, and even though I originally skipped DA 2 I got it earlier in the year for $5. In Origins I did the Ultimate Sacrifice of course, and while reading over my options and trying to decide what the best thing to do was concerning Awakening and the later DLCs I found this thread. Late, perhaps, but not too late for someone like me looking to finally play through the Ultimate Edition and 2 after all this time. Thanks again.

I saw this video once and lamented how I could never do something like this on PS3. The closest I can get is editing the plot flags on a Dragon Age 2 save file.

This is an amazing development. If an experienced modder could streamline it then it would be perfect.
