Hey, I know this is most likely a stupid question but im very unsure of something. So I completed mass effect 1, however my last save was right before the fight with saren, now i've completed the game and all, BUT will ME2 recognize that save as being completed or do I have to start a new game+ so it will recognize my choices such as who i chose to go on the council?

Silly question I know, but im just a bit confused XD, Thanks in advance.

I think the game makes another special save for itself, for use in ME 2, which isn't the Autosave.

I know what your saying but what I mean is, does my save (which is just before the fight with saren) which i completed the game on, count as a completed game, even though the save is before the end?

Easy way to check, start a new game on ME 1, when you select ID, you can "Select Existing ID"



This will display Profiles that have completed the game, and are available for "New Game +".



This is the same thing that ME 2 will do.

Thanks Feranel, thats cleared it up, I can do new game + so now I know im in the clear XD

I was just slightly confused seeing as how the last time you get to save is before the end of the game.

But once again thanks for clearing that up =)

Yeah as mentioned the save that ME2 looks for ISN'T your own save before you save the council. It's a separate save that happens after you finish the game (and you can't load this save up to play, but it'll show up with Feranel's instructions above).
