I figured if the "Stargazer" is telling crazy children's stories about "the Shepard", then you can't write off Shep's impact very easily.

Maybe 'the Shepard' is just an invention of the Stargazer, would be one heck of a way to give the AU supporters what they want.

And wreck Mass Effect for me :((((

Yeah, +1 here. But I can in no way predict in what direction BW is headed. The new game is completely unpredictable.

Maybe the next game could be about calculating the circumference of the Crucible's blast? It shall be called... Shepard's Pi.

Oh yes, I went there.

Dragon Age Keep

Within the Dragon Age Keep,
you’ll be able to customize a Dragon Age historical world state to your
exact specifications drawn from Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II
story decisions. These include hero attributes, companion details, quest
results, and more. Customize as much or as little as you wish. Then
you'll be able to import your saved world state into Dragon Age
Inquisition at the start of a new game. For new players, the Keep will
serve as a great way to understand the people, places, and events that
shaped the world leading up to DAI.

Consider it a superpowered version of the Genesis I and II comics, but for Dragon Age. I mean, PC versions of ME1-3 have save editors, so it's about time consoles get in on that action...

We could very well have this for Mass Effect, hypothetically. The Trilogy itself would then become 'optional', as it'd become clear that the stuff in its version of 'Keep' is all that's going to be imported anyway.

I still don't want to play in any galaxy where RGB took place.  Even as a box I check.

When I write posts like this, I'm not going "I want this" or "I don't want this". It's as objective speculation and guessing as I can manage.

Personally, I don't want the exact RBG. I want a semi-retcon to make it all better. RBG can make a difference but it has to be handled very very intelligently. Not talking IT itself even but *something* that is enjoyable. But my 'want' here wasn't kept into account when I left that last post; I was just saying what may be possible for them to do.

Just wanted to clarify there! We all have our wants - some want AU, some want continuation, some want side-story, some want retcon, etc etc. But sometimes what we want isn't going to match what the developers create. (not going after you here)
