Why type of person would I be? Strange question.

What kind of person would I *WANT* to be in Thedas?
Or where would I end up with my current personality/skill? (for 99% of this forum, the answer is slave/pesant)

True, but there are more reasonable Templars than blood mages. :)

Meredith didn't seem all that reasonable whereas the First enchanter blood mage was willing to compromise with the woman templar.

Orsino helped out the one who murdered Hawke's mother and decided that turning himself into a flesh golem was a smart thing to do. He was almost as bad as Meredith.

There was Ser Otto, Knight-Commander Gregoir, the Templar you meet in Lothering who you can flat out say you're a mage to, Ser Keran, Ser Cullen when he's not traumatized, and Ser Emeric.

You can meet three blood mages that do not attack you. (Orsino does attack, even in the Mage ending). Jowan- who quite frankly makes terrible decisions, Merrill- who deals with a deals with a demon, and Avernus, who conducts truly horrifying experiments

I would most likely be either dead at birth from being premature (24 weeks and 4 days in real life!) or a Dalish who is the apprentice to a weaponsmith and generally ignored unless someone either wants me to forge them a sword or have a ration of my bear steaks.

What I would like to be: disarmingly *ordinary* looking Dalish or City Elf rogue with latent untrained mage powers that sometimes require I make a quick escape!

While Orsino did aid a serial killer in Kirkwall with his necromany research but it was Meredith who had plans for commiting mass genocide against the mages of the Circle prior to Anders blowing up the Chantry. Can you not blame Orsino for doing what he did?

Oh and Orsino wasn't suppose to become a bad guy, but Bioware thought that they needed to throw in another boss to fight.... poor decision on their part.

I would likely be a scholar, like Genitivi or Petrine. I would research the true history of the Dales, the qunari wars and the Chantry, and would try to be as free of bias as possible. Even if it makes the Dalish, the Chantry or even the various crowned heads look bad.

Orsino
chose to hide him instead of doing something such as, I don't know,
telling a pro-Mage Hawke or the rebel Mages, or even hiring an assassin, so yes, I blame him. And he still helped a
clearly unhinged man in his research in the first place.

I'd want to be Genitivi's new assistant (after Weylon's unfortunate end in DAO).
