can we have NG+ please? (even Deus Ex HR added it)

Pretty pleaaaaaase?
Notice also, Eidos was nice enough to add this feature in the DC version of the game after people asked for soooo long about it (and some people complained that it was not in the spirit of deus EX to deck oneself out with augs and whatnot...I am soooo feeling like rubbing it in their faces now) anyway...
Please? It is pretty much the only thing I am waiting for before preordering this and paying in full (or maybe I should get it digitally...)

Like Crono Trigger, where it allowed different endings by being able to beat the game at different points.
Or ME1, where a skill from any class you previously completed the game with like be applied to a new character. Nothing like a shotgun-toting Adept!
But as just a way to face roll enemies with uber powers and equipment? Meh.

Like Jimmy said, if it brought something completely awesome to the table, fine. Otherwise, I don't think it's necessary.

so...no to an utterly optional feature that please people because YOU do not think it is necessary? Lovely....I honestly do not think it is necessary to be able to play a female inquisitor, do you see me arguing against it?happy_daiz wrote...
Nah. Not every game needs NG+.

You DO realize that the added skills have nothing to do with NG+ in ME1 right??

Not having level scaling might make this more difficult to do well - unlike DA2 which would have just required levelling up a few items and they could pretty much do it, in fact with a bit of modding and stuff you could get a pretty solid NG+ going yourself.

That would annoy me. Why should I have to play NG+ to see all the endings?

Because beating the bad guy 15 minutes into the game should result in some rather significant differences.Wulfram wrote...

I'm so happy that you actually read my post. I didn't say "no" to it. I said that if it made sense, great. And that I don't feel every game needs it. I'm just as entitled to an opinion as you are.
If you didn't want anyone to disagree with you, maybe you shouldn't have created a thread.

Except one might argue that gender choice adds more RPG value (something an RPG might want lol) than NG+.
Why should they spend more money to implement a system if it doesn't bring anything more to the table-- other than pleasing you, apparently?

Simple as that really, the feature makes sense because of its very premise to a lot of people, no I do not represent the masses but ask Eidos if they think people want it or not

not just me, and you know NG+ is a feature that pleases a number of people AND according to Bioware itself is fairly inexpensive AND they tried to add it to DA2 as well but ran out of timeArtemisMoons wrote...

Seeing as about 50% of all gamers are female (and a majority of them can be expected to prefer playing as female characters), I'd argue that is far more important than NG+. Just saying.

While I agree that it's not just you, YOU are the one constantly making threads and talking about NG+ in just about every thread you go into. You seem to be the only one who will melt into a puddle of despair if they don't include it. xDcrimzontearz wrote...

That said, my point was to counter your comment on "well I don't see the need to play as a female so it's totally the same thing as asking for ng+". And I did that. So that's all of my two cents really since I couldn't really care about NG+ and whether or not they add it.
If they do, swell. I just hope that they have a reason for it rather than "whoo, NG+" because enemies that do not level means that you'll be way above everything else's level which sounds really boring to me. If they don't add it, swell. It is not essential for a good game.

Calm down now... in the same way as you seem to believe that NG+ is the best feature that anyone has ever invented in gaming, some people don't really see the point or get any value out of it, and would rather it not be included, in favour of some other feature that they would prefer. It's OK to have a different opinion, but if everyone's calm about it then then topic doesn't get locked!crimzontearz wrote...

For me, I don't see great value of NG+ in a game like Dragon Age where the replay value is, IMO, in choosing a different class/background, rather than playing the same one again, but each to their own.

You DO realize that the added skills have nothing to do with NG+ in ME1 right??
Of course it does. You have to complete certain objectives in the original game in order to unlock them, yes, but the bonuses and added skills don't become active or available until you create a new character. You can still use these without choosing the "New Game +" feature, but it is still added bonuses for completing the game that make further playthroughs easier. That is, by definition, the very principle of New Game +.

In that case, Dragon Age Origins had new game plus. Because you could unlock specializations for the new game.Fast Jimmy wrote...

But that's not even remotely close to what people are talkign about for new game +. They want to use the progression they had at the end for the beginning. Not just unlock a few helpers.
