I'd love to make some Mass Effect videos *alreayd have a Thane/Femshep in mind* but I don't know how/where to access the videos in game? Or images for that matter, I see some people who can get a great photo of their femshep in game without having to screenshot it; how do I manage that? Forgive me if this is in the wrong area/has been answered already!<3

What, no-one has answered that yet?
You'd have to get an application that can record in-game.
[While you could use Bink to access some in-game videos (ending in .bik), those are without sound and, more importantly, do not feature Shepard - that's because .bik videos are "ready-made", and you just cannot prepare one video for every gamer's Shepard out there. Those scenes that feature her/him are rendered in-game using the game engine, while you're playing.]
A popular choice is Fraps www.fraps.com/download.php which can do screenshots just fine, only the free version will not record more than 30 seconds of video. If you don't mind paying, this might be for you.
A good solution for both free screenshots and video is MSI Afterburner. It's actually a tool for graphics cards, but has the option of recording games as well. Official site is here event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/index.htm and it looks like it's changed since I got it - says there is a software named Predator now that's for recording, but still free.
If those are not to your liking, Google may be able to suggest more recording solutions to you.
