It's about 5 minutes long. Regardless of whether or not you like TB, I think he makes great points. Just wondering what your thoughts are?

For most of it a really agree, the universe is solid as it is, it's so much more than just Sheppard, Liara and the rest of the crew.
Fresh start yeah :D

I think ME3 is great though, and the endings doesn't really bother me, so good for me right.

Shepard and co were cool. What can I say? I liked them. I think it's a horrible prospect to not see any of that again in a Mass Effect game. It's still possible that I move away from it all, but I'm not going to say I want to. It's the difference between mere acceptance and embrace.

 "the Shepard Incident"?

"I want to be able to start Mass Effect, and forget that Mass Effect 3 ever existed and just get back into that universe"

You and me both, Mr Biscuit.  You and me both.

Can we extract Tuchanka, and maybe Rannoch (with a little rework)? Whatever else I might think of Mass Effect 3 I think that Tuchanka is the high point of the trilogy.

Doesn't really matter what BioWare does for Mass Effect that costs money, one of the 'true fans' can buy it for me or they aren't true fans! :D

Should they steer away from Shepard? Let's see:

1. They won't admit they blew it
2. They aren't good at rpg's anymore it seems,
3. They 'want the Call of Duty crowd'

So, sure, try to ignore the mess made and pretend it never happened. Memories are short for video gamers and people in general. They'll probably forget too. Take the money and if I were BioWare, I would try to do the least work possible to get the most money they can from people who buy their products without a second thought. Milk it, baby!

It isn't BioWare's fault at this point. It is the purchasers. Take their money and see how far you can lead them on.

I don't really know what to think about the next game having absolutely nothing to do with the past three. It sounds absolutely absurd, honestly, but I can't say it's definitely a bad idea. More information required.

I agree that its a rich universe we can expand on, no I don't think we need shepard and I also don't think we need more of the endings. I would at least like references to some old characters though, so it doesn't feel to far removed from the original trilogy (maybe even some cameos).

I somewhat feel better knowing one of my favorite you tubers shares my opinions on the ending but I agree enjoy the universe and try to forget it ever happened.

I'm on the fence. I love Shepard and crew, but at the same time, I'm very interested in seeing another aspect of the galaxy. i think i would like to see a mercenary equivalent to shepard. maybe a merc under Aria's direct command?

I love the Mass Effect characters as much as the next guy, but they're the most disposable part of the whole thing.

You can always write new characters and make them just as good, or even better than, the old ones.

I agree. I'm sure I'd miss the old characters, but I have no reason to think that they can't write new ones I can grow fond of. Besides, it's certainly nice to have variety. The characters of the Mass Effect trilogy have pretty much gone through their arcs and their story was resolved. There's no reason to drag them through another story to milk them for all they're worth.

Thanks for linking this. As rigid as completely cutting shepard off might sound, I agree with the direction. At this point, developers and fans alike are probably both wanting to get away from "The Shepard Incident". There's enough wealth of content with that universe that they're better off doing a mulligan. A fresh start is probably the best way to go at this point.

This again? Well at least it's not one of those year old videos.

It's Total Biscuit, so I'm legally and morally bound to post in his honor. All hail the biscuit of cynicism.

I agree with TB 100%. If it weren't for multiplay and Citadel, I'd have trashed this game, and had I known about how bad the plot became I would have also avoided it. So lets begin anew and push this all behind us. I'm up for a change in scenery so long as the atmosphere remains.

I wrote this MASS EFFECT 4. Your LT John Myers a blue suns space pirate set in the year 2170 and your family was murdered by the reapers you joined the blue suns because you felt line you had power because the Alliance is weak and there is no mass relays. You wake up in the station your serving on the SSV blackdog you fight your way to the shuttles but your brother is being overrun by what looks like Cerberus you take them out with a missile launcher you got from the armory you and your brother escape the blue suns ship. You get a message via omnitool from the blue suns leader Angus Arvel giving you coordinates to a Cerberus base which sent the men who attacked you but first you get some men from the blue suns base you get your own ship your own armor and you are promoted to LT Commander you can customize your ships paint job ect... After you got what you need you attack with your 24 men and gain control of the base with 18 losses. After a 32 min firefight you make it to the control room one of your crew PVT Joseph Miles finds some information about the leviathans returning to the galaky they've escaped the reaper threat by destroying there mass relay and moving closer to the galaxy's core but they've been coming back to there home world and they will be at the Minos wasteland  in 1 year you hide this from your boss after you left the base you go to the citadel by yourself and ask to speak to the council you show the human ambassador Lydina Loraze a 59 year old war vet you quit the blue suns and speak to the council you tell them what you found they ask you for evidence you show them on your omnitool they ask you if this is true you tell them about your attack and you tell them everything the council then asks you if you want to be a spectre because of what you know you accept then you go and explore the vastness of the open world from the citadel to omega and do missions and do that. Please Bioware hear me please put some of this in the game this is what we all want is a dark open world that's more like a RPG and not rushed this will make up for what you've lost with mass effect 2 and 3.

Fresh start, new studio, new story - I'm ok with that. But if they won't mention Shepards fate at all... well f***.
