Different tastes, I guess. I personally like it because it staggers everything, making AF+Throw detonations a little bit safer.
Is the N7 Fury adept overpowered?

Try using DC more and AF+Throw a bit less. I mean my main damage source is obviously AF+throw but with Venom you can dish artillery damage across the map while moving, plus those DC+ throw BE's. I also like the stagger effect of Venom.

yeah but just about everything from the Earth DLC (or any DLC) is OP as hell
just varying degrees I suppose
easy self-detonating BEs that heal are pretty powerful especially combined with the Acolyte but still not as brainless as a TGI and AIU
I still contend that the TGI is by far the most boring OP class

In my exceedingly humble opinion, team score is not a good measure. I think the real measure of any character/player is solo performance.
I love the Fury, but I find her to be map dependent, at least at my level of experience. Take her out on Condor and she certainly doesn't seem overpowered. It depends so much on other factors.
