Which sounds and looks more useful so far, Incendiary or Cryo ammo?

I see it as a tradeoff between specialization and versitiliy.



Against organics, Incenery seems more powerful. It does extra damage, it can panic them causing them to stop firing, and most importantly it can become explosive, causing AoE damage. WIth a shotgun this would be massive. However, it's been mentioned that synthetics are resistant, though not immine, to fire damage. Additionally, they do not panic when set on fire, like organics.



Disruptor ammo seems to be the same as Incenery, but for synthetics. Damages, stuns, and potentially causes the target to explode, which is slightly cooler. It can still damage and wreck organic's shields, but the effect is diminished.



Cryo seems to be the happy middle ground. Freezing someone is basically instakill it seems, since the are immobile and VERY susecptable to damage, according to the vids. Most importantly, it works for everyone.



Thus, if you are a solider with points to spare, you'd wanna get both Inceneray and Disruptor, and switch accordingly. However, if you are a Hybrid and wanna save points by maxing only one skill, Cryo will be useful against everyone...



Or you could just ignore ammo powers all together, have your squadmates evolve a power each to the Squad evolution, and they will give you the power for free:P! Just pick the squaddie with the appropriate ammo for the job!

a question: do both cryo and incenery ammo cause the enemy to stop shooting at you, ie. they either stop frozen or run around on fire?

I'm leaning towards cryo, but only slightly. As a Vanguard, I'm going to have to wait and see what each of their strengths and weaknesses really are before making a final determination.

At rank 4 the player has the choice of evolving the power to one of two more powerful versions, Inferno Ammo or Squad Incendiary Ammo.

Inferno Ammo

An explosive charge spreads the ammunition's payload on impact, potentially igniting the target and all nearby enemies.

Recharge Time: 1.50 seconds

Duration: Lasts until overridden by another ammo power.

Fire Damage: 60.00% of weapon damage over 3 seconds

Burst Radius: 3.00 meters

Squad Incendiary Ammo

Each member of your squad gains the effect of your incendiaries, allowing you to spread pain and panic in a very literal crossfire.

Recharge Time: ?

Duration: Lasts until overridden by another ammo power.

For the moment I'm thinking that Incendiary will be more useful for the offense classes like Soldier and Vanguard, while Cryo is better for defensive classes like Engineer.

For biotic classes its cyro hands down. For all other classes inferno should work just fine.
