Salarian General is way superior to the ordinary soldier. Summon STG, Titanus Mech and Orbital Strike are all pretty powerful - although Phasic Ordnance evo for Orbital Strike is a must, otherwise it's useless indoors.

Since he's half Krogan, per the Codex, I always spec fully into SaboRage Mode. I actually skip Cryo Blades since you can set up a Tech Burst, Fire Explosion, Ice Storm, Wind Mill combo with his Disruptor Melee, Inferno-lation Field, Cryo Shot powers and finish with his overhead throw (works better with a mouse).

You can take down an Iron Atlas in a single cast of this combo, even with out STG Hunter Mode.

Oh, and since his passives give him bonuses for certain ammo types, always go with GenoPhasic Rounds.

I often see salarian soldiers use this ammo with a venom, which they aim below their enemies belt.

0 Points in Cryo Nades - this thing so OP that is not even funny. Compared to Snap Freeze , it's like Arc Grenades compared to Overload. Probably Cryo Nades were created by the same guy who thought that Reegar and reload cancel are a good idea. Meh.

Ok, so then max Proxy Mine & Energy Drain. Max all the passives for full weapon damage and full health & shields. Use Harrier & Acolyte/Scorpion secondary.
