id rather walk. or get my mako back. or have the mako be upgradeable so those who actually liked it didnt have to get screwed over.

Wait, the hammerhead is a free DLC. "A second DLC package available after launch will introduce additional missions and items as well as an "agile hover tank" called the Hammerhead." This is after the launch and will probably be free like the first DLC

EA only made the card to "make consumers purchase their games." Knowing Bioware, It probably all would've been in the game already if ME was still being published my Microsoft.

Thing the articles said that is clear to me. Day 1 content will be the Old badass merc & the hammer head will be set for release after the launch day

Quoted from: http://xbox360.ign.c.../1061782p1.html

"The first DLC pack is set for release at the game's launch on January 26, and will include new missions, in-game items, and characters. Zaeed, a "rugged and deadly gun-for-hire" will join Commander Shepard in one of the new missions.

A second DLC pack, set for release "after launch" will included the Hammerhead, a new hover tank for players to take control of, along with "new missions and unique in-game items, including Cerberus Assault Armor which boost shields, health and heavy weapon ammo and the M-22 Eviscerator Shotgun."

End quote

Now for sometime we've been told the Day 1 DLC will be free. With that being said We can only assume what the Hammerhead will be. Take the 1st 3 letters from that word assume. I'll just wait for the Devs to let us know

I believe if the Hammerhead isn't free, then it will probably be free a year after release. But then in the meantime, when you land on a planet, what do you travel in?

The Kodiak drop ship

Interesting. If that's Christina Norman Howcome when she made a post this thread didn't end up with the Blue BIOWARE under it like when the other Dev's submit a post in thread? just an observation

But according to OXM, the Kodiak is non-pilotable. So I guess we're gonna be walking around a lot on planets. Unless we get some points and buy the Hammerhead. I have 500 points being used on ME 2 just in case.

I love these type of posts, rooted in fantasy and wild speculation.

How about perhaps Bioware decided to axe the driving out of the main storyline to focus on parts of the game people gave a crap about and they filled up 2 DVD's worth of content.

And people still find ways to complain or blame EA.  Grow up and stop pretending you know how the gaming business works.

Well, the quote was a true quote from a real place. Secondly, I said probably . Third, I don't think you work for EA so don't get an attitude.

ITS FREE!

IGN: "Those who purchase the title new will receive exclusive access to the 'The Cerberus Network,' an in-game pipeline for downloadable content, as well as daily messages and news on upcoming releases for the game at no additional cost. Acess requires players to input a single-use unlock code that comes included with all new copies, retail and digital versions."

What is wrong with all you people quoting that? If you'd actually read that whole paragraph it says News on upcoming DLC is free, not the actual DLC.

Read it more carefully.

Huh, well then that's defintaly a mistake then, doubt everythings free.

Image IPBImage IPB

holy sweet god, the things given to you on the first day via the Cerberus network are free.
Now maybe,(this is one way to see it) the hammerhead will be given a code like they did with the blood dragon armor when you buy ME2 and when it becomes downloadable you use the code to redeem it. If you didn't buy the game fresh then you have to buy the hammerhead DLC along with the Cerberus. That's one way of seeing it and makes legitimate since to me. though greedy.

It doesn't mean all DLC in the game will be free. Just these two (maybe).
Or you might have to end up paying for the hammerhead like regular DLC.

Im sick of people complaining about people complaining, you need to grow up and realize thats what the forums are for to voice there opinion about a product they may or may not spend there money on, ok you may think everything that bioware do is AWESOME and love every minute of it, but when it comes down to it people like that dont help make improvments on the game .......

His opinion was about me. He said quit knowing hw the business gaming world works. That doesn't say anything about how he feels about the product. So you need to grow up and learn that some things don't concern you.

Here's a concept that just might blow some minds around here, apparently:

Maybe there's some other vehicle we bomb around in on unexplored worlds in the regular game, and the Hammerhead is an improvement or upgrade of it. I know, just a totally crazy thought and all.

Incidentally, there's no way the Hammerhead will be required to enjoy all the content that comes with the retail version of Mass Effect 2. Bioware isn't Namco. The Hammerhead will only be "required" for the missions that accompany it in the DLC package...or if my suggestion above holds true won't technically be "required" for anything.

It says that the Cerberus Network, the pipe-line for DLC and daily messages and news are at no additional cost. Not the DLC itself. It's really poorly worded. It should say that The Cerberus Network is at no additional cost. The Cerberus Network includes in-game access to downloadable content, which can be purchased with BioWare points, as well as daily messages and news on upcoming releases for the game.

Edit: Although having said that, I'm certain that some of the release day DLC is free. In the Cerberus Network Details thread the only DLC that it implies is free is the one with Zaeed. To me saying that we will receive it means that it will not cost extra.

its EA... they aren't gonna give EVERYTHING for free... but hey, i have faith in Bioware... as long as im not paying 20$ per 20 minute DLC... 1$ a minute is def not worth it...

Besides... I idea behind the Mako i liked (vast environments too large for foot travel, sealed to protect from hazardous environments)... but the driving around in the missions was just bland and repetitive. In the vanilla game there is not vast empty driving segments (don't quote me) but as far as the short lil videos and dev diaries available it looks like you just get dropped off by a shuttle.

Actually, I liked the Mako before people starting bringing up glitches and problems about it. They are the reason I now think the Mako was a problem.

If its not free I'm not getting it. The Mako was far and away the worst part of Mass Effect. I don't want any variant of it unless they massively overhaul it.

The Hammerhead looks cool to me. Look behind Shepard
