That was the Council, not the Asari explicitly.
The turians obviously are already fighting in this, and the salarians don't give a damn about uppity weaker races being sublimated, as has been clearly shown before.
Their military couldn't fight the rachni, the krogan, and Thessia fell like a bad game of Jenga.
True, being up against beings that live for nothing but aggression and war makes things rather tricky, but they definitely put up a good fight. As for your claim on Thessia, lol.
And strange their war assets without the Destiny Ascension are rather low.... To say nothing if you don't like scanning every planet which is where most of their war assets come from.
70 points, which is good, but not necessarily a game-changer. It still doesn't change a thing about them contributing a lot (the most of any Council race).
I think it's because the writers lack empathy (searching for the right
word). I get a feeling that sexiness is the point to the asari; that the
writers aren't interested in them as a culture. Compare to say, DA's
approach to Isabela. She's a person, not a culture, but sexuality feels
like a part of her and not the point.
This can happen in some instances, but it's not complete and it's not the fault of the asari themselves, only presentation sometimes. In-universe, there's definitely far more than sexuality to their culture (although being open about sexuality is hardly a crime).
