Bascially i can't encounter him. I completed Bonegnasher lair and left and came back to Old owl well several times with no success. For some reason Yaisog Bonegnasher doesn't give me information when I confronted him in Bonegnasher lair and I end up killing him each and every time. I'm basically stuck and can't get to eyegoucher lair. I wanted to try this attempt here http://www.giantitp....ad.php?t=228485 but I'm dumb and can't find the globals.xml he's talking about. Now the encounter for Casavir just won't trigger.

I also have little experience with the toolset and I can't find any guides that could help me continue the game.

Please help me! I'm running out of ideas. Posted Image

(I also deleted any custom content to see if that was the problem It wasn't the issue persisted and my game is fully patched)

Your saved game should be something like this: C:\\Users\\Rae\\Documents\\Neverwinter Nights 2\\Saves\\000000 - quicksave. That's a folder. Inside that folder is a file named globals.xml.

It may not be visible to you because of your Windows settings - but it should be. Look first and see if it's not already appearing there.

You can open this file with any text editor - just use Wordpad.  BACK IT UP FIRST!  Notice that it's full of careful punctuation - do not screw any of that up. Just use ctrl-f to find gb_casavir_intro and see if Arbitrarity's solution doesn't work.  (I would ctrl-c the text in that giantitp box and ctrl-v it into globals.xml, but you can type it out if you're not comfortable doing that).

Try adding this:

<Integer>
<Name>gb_casavir_intro</Name>
<Value>0</Value>
</Integer>

(ctrl-f and find "Booleans"  This is the end of the "Integers" section.  You can put that bloc in there, between  </Integer>and    </Integers> )
Save it. Load the game and go out the door. When the travel map comes up, look to the southeast of the Bonegnashers and see if there's a mark called "Dwarven Scouts." Try going there.

it keeps going back to old owl well so either I entered it in the wrong place or I deleted something i shouldn't have. Do i have to put that code you posted after

<Integer>
<Name>13gb_olov_ambush</Name>
<Value>1</Value>
</Integer>

First, did you talk to the prisoner in the Bonegnasher lair? Did he leave or join you - or did you kill him? Have you been ambushed outside yet (the "olov ambush" in your post above)?

Second, you can try that entry above with a value of 1 or 2 instead. You don't have to put it in that exact place, but it does have to be in the Integers section and where I mentioned is convenient. Just make sure you didn't  break up any other entry by inserting between <Integer> and </Integer>.

Third, I'll have a look in the toolset and see what I can find if this doesn't work. Someone else had this problem and posted it - he solved it by writing a little script. Alas, he didn't post the darned thing, but at least we know one approach that will work.

Fourth, go ahead and try it with that big block from giantitp if you haven't already, including setting gb_casavir_intro to 2.

I had him join me and right after I leave it leads to the ambush. Going to try again.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, something is haywire. If he joined you - that is, actually became a member of your group (though you can't select him; he's just there on auto-pilot like Naloch)) - then you shouldn't have run into the ambush at all.

We need to clear some things up. Where EXACTLY are you? Are you still in Bonegnasher lair? If not, you should edit and load a game back there - contingent of course on nothing else having worked in the meantime.

it didn't save this time. -.- ok so I am still in Bonegnasher Lair. Right at the end where you confront Yaisog. One thing that was meant to happen is Yaisog gives you information which he never does no matter how many times I reload/ redo the dungeon.

Alright, so we're back in the Bonegnasher Lair. You see Yaisog twice. The first time, he says "Let's see how you do against the best of my clan" and runs off.

The second time, he says "I am Yaisog. I cannot die!" and attacks. You proceed to wallop him and when he's supposed to die, the fight should stop and he begs for his life.

Where are you in all this?

Restarting from Old Owl Well is probably your best choice. Most of the people who post problems like this here don't have a useful save like that ("my oldest save is twenty seconds earlier, wah"), so count yourself wiser than the rule.

This time, make a save in the room near the kitchen before you go into the next room with Yaisog. If things need to be redone, that's the closest you can get before the potential screw-ups.

And when you're beating Yaisog down, he's pretty much helpless at this point. It's better to tell your companions to go peaceful (type vee) then stand still (vwx), and finish Yaisog off with your PC solo. Less things can interrupt and break the death script that way.  (If your character relies on spells, maybe Khelgar should do the deed instead).

I'm pretty sure that breaking Yaisog's convo is the root of all these other problems.

Can you package up your save (the one at Old Owl Well will do) and upload it to a filesharing site? There are many things to try, but it will have to be later.

The ending with Yaisog does two things

1. sets global "gb_casavir_intro" to "1"
2. sets global "13_UrgatEnd" to "1" if you let him go, "2" if you fight.

To set globals from the console:

Press apostrophe beneath Escape key. A translucent console comes down from the top of your screen.
Enter:

debugmode 1
rs ga_global_int("gb_casavir_intro", "1")
rs ga_global_int("13_UrgatEnd", "2")
debugmode 0

Those two were supposed to happen when Yaisog either flees or says "Then you shall see how a true orc warlord dies. Fighting to the death!"

but there might be other things involved before meeting Casi.

(and hope this isn't a permissions-bug)

well I tried entering those in the console still nothing :( I even added them from one of my other saves I backed up last year so I have no idea it's not working or flagging correctly (I entered those after Yaisog. is there not a console to at least make Yaisog talk instead of dying?)

I_Raps: I'll package the save later today

Ok i think i may have fixed it. I removed <Name>13gb_olov_ambush</Name> and 13_UrgatEnd and added

<Integer>
<Name>gb_casavir_intro</Name>
<Value>1</Value>
</Integer>
<Integer>
<Name>WM_bShow1314Eyegouger</Name>
<Value>1</Value>

and casavir showed up. I don't know what went wrong but that 's how i fixed it so far! I'll let you know how it goes!
I took the messanger with me on this save. on another I just had to add the casavir and eyegouger.

Thank you so much for helping everyone! :)

Quick side note i actually just had to add casavir intro in the right place and leave the eyegouger out because eariler I couldn't go there it just kept taking me back to old owl well so I never could reach the lair. I've saved there now so I think I'm good :)

Hmmm. We were just looking at a related script last week. That 13_UrgatEnd variable is used at the end of the Eyegouger lair. When you come to Logram's throne room, be sure to save before going in. You might have to put that variable back in globals.xml.
