Should be.
Take Battlefield 4 as benchmark, if it runs battlefield 4, should run DA: Inquisition too.

We don't know how well the game will run on any system, as games that use the current iteration of Frostbite are only now starting to come out, however I should think your PC will be more than sufficient.

Why does everyone who asks this have a system that's massively better than mine?

An excellent article has been posted on Tom's Hardware testing Battlefield 4 using the same Frostbite 3 engine that DA:I uses on various GPUs and CPUs. A must read!

http://www.tomshardw...mance,3634.html

A key issue is what resolution you intend to run. 1080p should run fine at very high settings, 1440p is another matter entirely, for that you may need to have a dual GPU system for very high settings.

While sometimes people ask this question genuinely looking for an answer, some people just want an excuse to brag about their hardware specs.

Those people have better computers.

Is your body ready for the Inquisition? That is the real question my friend.

And here I thought it was just my cynicism showing when this was the first thing I thought when I read the OP.

Aside from your SSD's storage capacity, you're running a far better rig than I am, and with the final updates to the Beta for BF4, I was able to run it quite well on High graphics settings and average around 60fps.

I wouldn't be surprised if you'll be able to run Inquisition at max graphics settings and seldom drop below at least 60fps.

This is probably the most reasonable assumption at this time.  Still a ways to go before we'll know for sure :)

Dude, you have a 7970. That's like 2.5x more powerful than a next gen console. Of course you'll be able to run DA3.

I'm not even sure why you're asking if you have a 7970. Skeptical much?

That bf4 beta benchmarks is a pretty decent estimation guide. For good performancei gather a good dx 11 card, quad core+ cpu and 64 bit systems.

That system will struggle with DAI. You're already using low resolutions in current games, Frostbite 3 will put even more demand on it. A next-gen console might be the best option if you don't fancy buying a new PC.

If we take Battefield 4's systems requirements - source here:
http://bf4central.co...em-requirements

"The minimum PC system requirements for Battlefield 4 are expected to be:

Dual core CPU (Intel Core i5 or AMD “Bulldozer”).
At least 4 GB main system memory
Graphics card with at least 512 MB of VRAM and support for DirectX 10
30+ GB of harddrive space
Windows Vista"

Does this mean that people like me who have an Intel Dual Core i3 processor won't be able to run DA: Inquistion? I also have Geforce GTX 650 (standalone) videocard with 2498 MB of memory (which= 2GB, I think?) I have 8MB of memory of which 4MB is used right now. Operating system is Windows 7...

I'm asking because If I can't play DA: Inquisition on this computer, I need to save up for an upgrade ;)

Yeah, this is pretty common. Nothing is funnier than people who own badass GPUs and rigs asking if they can run a game. The only time they might not be able to run a game is if they are running some multi-monitor set-up. I think for the most part, people just want to hear the echo of how awesome their rig is.

Of course, not everyone is doing this, I just have a hard time believing that people who are willing to spend 500$ or more on a GPU aren't tech savvy enough to draw their own conclusions about the functionality of the hardware they own.

I'm really sorry to hijack the thread, but do you guys think that an Nvidia Geforce 640M graphics card should be enough to run it on medium graphics at 900p resolution? My desktop should be able to max the game out easily, but I'd love it if my laptop could also run it with decent graphics. My laptop's other specs are higher than BF4's recommended ones, so no worries there-just the card that's causing worry. Info from people who have played the BF4 beta with a similar card is especially appreciated.

Thanks in advance! :D
