That system will struggle with DAI. You're already using low resolutions in current games, Frostbite 3 will put even more demand on it. A next-gen console might be the best option if you don't fancy buying a new PC.

Damn....who bring the idea of using Frosbite 3?

I want to assassinate him....

well, at least you exceed the minimum specs for Battlefield 4 (also uses Frostbite). With low resolution and settings, I imagine DAI will be playable. It depends what kind of image quality you are willing to accept.

This is Battlefield 4 on Radeon HD 5450, and it's actually not too bad.

Duh, you can't be "ready" for the inquisition. Nobody expects the inquisition.

Awww...i already equipped myself with lyrium imbued ninja bishounen costume...cancel assassination mission then

I used small LCD monitor that can get maximum of 1024 x 756 resolution anyway, it's actually made in a factory at someone backyard if you understand what i mean...

As long at it can be played, i be happy...like Skyrim, i buy/assemble (actually i am not buying a computer but buying parts and assemble them, it's cheaper that way) this computer i used now just want to play Skyrim, i hope i don't have to do that again...this is not the first time i am doing this...why when new game coming out i must searching for new hardware?

There's a conspiracy

It doesn't exceed the minimum system requirements. It's actually very far below it. The Radeon HD 5450 is eleven tiers below the required HD 3870 on the Tom's Hardware GPU chart.

Imagine that...i spent $999 (yes it is exactly 999) buying parts of this computer i am using just to play Skyrim...now you guys understand why i hate Skyrim?

Skyrim graphic is okay, i don't deny that, the skill system improves, and many things improves from Oblivion....but the game is a total mess, it is a disappointment

I wait for long to play Skyrim...i watched You Tube everyday, Skyrim videos, i watched also the hype on internet about Skyrim...about Fus Ro Dah, about dragons, about absorbing dragonsoul, about the magic....everyday i dreamed of playing Skyrim...but my computer at that time was ancient Rakatan computer...i already buy Skyrim just not install it

When i finally assemble the computer, and install it...i feel awe....but not for long...imagine my rage.....i got banned many times in Bethsoft forum....the pic i show earlier is just one of the thing....

To be fair, Rakatan technology was ahead of its time.

I meant to say the processor requirement... but yes, the HD 5450 is not ideal for BF4/ Frostbite 3.

It is playable though, as the youtube video I posted shows.

My PC is starting to show its age in some games, but I always use high settings and anti-aliasing. I'll accept a lower frame rate for improved visuals - not less than 30fps though.

Intel i7-920 (quad core)
6GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 570

Mantle API looks very interesting, and could give AMD a big advantage in certain games (Frostbite 3 engine also).

I´m also wondering if I should upgrade? Maybe the processor?

I have a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 670 OC, and a Intel Core i5 2500 3,3GHz, Corsair 8GB DDR3 1333MHz/CL9/1,6V./XMS3. And a intel SSD 120gb.

Now excuse me, I have the urge to fondle my PC, compensating for my fragile ego...;)

How exactly is a quad core i7 showing it's age? I'm still running games maximum at 1080 on an old core 2 quad

The i7-920 is old. It's amazing how good that processor is for its age, but game performance relies more on video cards than it used to. Bioshock Infinite was very sluggish at max. GTX 570 is probably to blame... and will be the first component I replace.

It's probably a combination of things, since I have a GTX 580 and the only game that has ever even lagged in the slightest was SWtOR, which the lag had nothing to do with my own computer, but due to server load. I tested out Tomb Raider with TressFX on, and it was still very playable despite the light framerate drop (I turned it off though because it looked weird and wrong. Still a ways to go until it works right.).

I know I asked on a diff thread because I'm totally clueless about computers, and have no idea of what's better than what so if something says it needs X graphics card....I really have no idea if my M card is better, comparable, or worse.

*puts on a dunce hat*

This type of commentary should be exercised carefully.  It's very unsettling to see a statement like this.

Wow.  The computer I'm using now, which I bought 5.5 years ago, nails those minimum specs just about exactly.

Or it would have, if I hadn't had to replace my 8800GT when it melted (man those things run hot).

I dislike these kinds of threads that wind up being "brag about your PC specs" but whoever comes up with the naming scheme for GPUs needs a serious flogging. That whole market is a scam, anyway.

I don't know **** about computers but my ram meets the minimum reqs (coulda sworn I had 8 gigs of ram though...) both my processor and graphics memory fall between the min/max and I obviously have enough space. Though 30GB is HUGE.

The only thing I'm pretty sure doesn't meet the minimum specs is my graphics card. Which is kinda important, or so I'm led to believe. I can tell because it doesn't have an "X" or "core" in its name.

I have a Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz with 8GB RAM for the memory. I'm not too worried about those, so far I can play most games on high.
However, my graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4850.
I bought the thing specially for Dragon Age: Origins at the time and I've loved the crap out of it. But is it time to upgrade the lovable doll or am I fine for a while more?

It runs on Windows 7 64-bit by the way if that matters? I have no clue here. If it wasn't for speccy telling me exactly what I have in my computer I wouldn't even know what's in the damn thing apart from the graphics card. Can Anyone help me out?

Edit: Btw, I tried to use the chart that was listed for graphic cards here but I can't make heads or tails of the thing. So before people say I need to check that, I tried and all it did was cause me to scratch my head in confusion. What the hell does the thing mean with 'discrete' and 'mobile' in this case?
