Neither appeal to me.

But perhaps if the Sony Defense Force had spent half as much effort into standing up for themselves as they did whining about the Xbone, Sony wouldn't be implementing paid online.

These guys spent YEARS bashing the Xbox Live paywall, then Sony comes out with a paywall of their own, and they completely changed their minds THAT SECOND and started telling everyone to get a job.

There was no coming to terms with their beloved company ****ting all over them, they just went for the Sony kool aid.

Except they aren't drinking it, they are drowning in it, and they don't give a damn.

I'm actually against that, thank you very much :P lol

Hey now. We need beta-testers for these consoles.

Indeed, this.

Any expendable income at the end of this year will be spent beefing up my backlog while waiting out the chaos. Black Friday is always a killer.

Yeah. I'm not going to be a part of the second round of beta testing.

I will hold my ground and be a beta tester for you guys on the PS4 side. The funny thing is, I don't even remember what games are coming out for the PS4 at launch - it will probably collect dust.

Graphically I think they are both the same. The question is do you want to buy a console from Microsoft or do you want to buy a console from Sony.

Thats basically the point of getting consoles at launch. Pure beta testing. Last time I had a console at launch was the legendary PS2.

When I see another exclusive I want, but it's on a console I won't get -

I have both Xbox 360 and PS3, and will be going with PS4 next gen. My consoles are always-offline, and that's not possible on the Xbox One, which makes my decision very easy. PS4 will have games available at launch that I'm interested in, but I'll have to wait until I can afford it.

MS got rid of the always online requirement a while back, only a day one update that requires you to connect to online

Yep. Neither console is always online. Wouldn't have affected me personally since I'm always online on my 360, but its convenient nonetheless.

A day one update and later updates as well, from what I read on their website. But even a one-time connection is too much. My consoles have never been connected to the internet.

I've been a Playstation owner since 1995 and it's not stopping now....and I despise Microsoft so it's not even a debate for me. However I'm not getting it until it's been out for a bit.

Good man. In hindsight I wish I had went with PlayStation this generation. I'm never making the mistake of having a Microsoft console as my primary gaming console ever again.

Well you're in good luck. The PS4 is shaping up to be a much safer investment than any other PlayStation console.

I'm not planning on buying a next-gen console but if I were to purchase one it would be the ps4. I am curious to see how well the remote play feature with my Vita would work with it.

I may buy a PS4 for my "little brother" in 3 or 4 years. Playing with PC needs experience and talent. Children should play with consoles!

PS4

M$ brand and their exclusives is putrid, IMO. I don't really like their exclusives and they're not setup well for the new gen due to their weak first-party development. It seems all they've done to this point is try to stay caught up with Sony's PS4. Sony feels like they've been a step ahead of M$ on almost every issue. Sony has their company very well organized while M$ is discombobulated. X1 feels more like a device marketed as an all-in-one while PS4 feels almost like a pure gaming console aimed at core gamers mostly. Not to mention the PS4 is $100 cheaper, superior hardware and doesn't force artificial crap on you like Kinect. It should mention I don't trust M$'s quality control either due to going through multiple 360s with the 3 RRoD fiasco and right now it seems they're struggling to clock their hardware up to keep comparable to PS4. That sounds like another rushed system with faulty hardware to me.

It just seems to me M$ has no direction with the new gen and their corporation has no vision. You see them constantly being shuffled and even their head Xbox guy left. Maybe he knew it was a sinking ship and left? I don't like the red flags I'm seeing from X1 so I might be a PS4 exclusive console gamer this gen.

PC/PS4 all the way for me. Maybe X1 if I get it as a gift or free down the road. As it stands, neither console has exclusives that appeal to me right now except TitanFall on X1 but I'll just get that on PC. I'm pretty sure it will come to PS4 too since it's EA and all. I still haven't decided if I will sell my pre-order on PS4 at a scalped price or just keep it. Either way, I'll get a PS4 within the next year for personal leisure use.
