I may buy a PS4 for my "little brother" in 3 or 4 years. Playing with PC needs experience and talent. Children should play with consoles!

This is all the proof you need.

You trolol'd

No more than you sir, no more than you. :P

Lol.

Indeed. I was gaming on PC at 11-12 years old, playing Counter-Strike. Held my own too.

Because nobody's on my side, little orcs.

Got a good laugh out of that one.

Anyways, the PS4's exclusives mostly tend to be JRPG's and Squeenix games that I care astoundingly little for. All other things being equal, I'm willing to pay a little more for games like Halo and Titanfall (although odds are Microsoft will drop the price down to $299 after a year or so).

And if Kinect 2.0 can finally make the jump to being fully integrated into AAA games, and bring something worthwhile to the table, so much the better.

PS4.

Right now amazing storytelling is Play Station exclusive feature. I really doubt that will change in near future. Beyond: Two Souls, and The Last of Us games are just a beginning, and they are great even on PS3. I believe you can imagine PS4 capabilities, considering the fact that Sony and devs working for them are eager to create more amazing stories.

Seival, why would pay for a console to get "games" like Beyond: Two Souls when you can play them for free on Youtube?

I'm with Xbox now so I want to like the Xbone so much but I don't. Is there really any reason from technical point of view to get the Xbox over PS4 outside US when most of it's main features don't work? Does it just come down to the couple of uninteresting exclusives... Maybe PS4 then?!?

That DVD is way overpriced

As for M & S, a plague a' both their Houses. Looking forward to the wailing and gnashing of teeth in a few years' time (either mine or other people's )

I will hold my ground and be a beta tester for you guys on the PS4 side...

You're a hero man, good luck

I'm leaning more towards PS4. I don't like the way Microsoft handled things after they did the media launch. They also seem to be marketing the X1 as a wider media device not just a gaming console which will probably be using apps and services that are mostly only available to users in North America and that makes me lose interest.

Of the titles to be released early on the PS4 exclusives sound more interesting to me than the X1 exclusives.

I won't be buying at launch though. I'll wait until the brave beta testers have been at it for a while and see how things are looking for both consoles next year.

Gonna wait for a "Phantom Pain" edition for PS4. Other than that sticking with PC.

People are pushing X1 away before it even comes out. If Microsoft doesn't make a huge comeback, this could end them.

I'm supporting PS4, although I'm not getting it til next year. It has better games and a lower price.

Personally, I think PC will become an dying breed now, | saw some videos comparing graphical difference, and it's not really worth it upgrading your PC. Might as well stick to the new consoles.

It is always the same old history... No because of Microsoft...
So what? You are so scared about the rrod with the 360, and the brand Microsoft in General, and not with the credentials stolen from the PSN... Bah...
Of course not at day 1, but I will stay with Microsoft (after the PS3 and Xbox360 and wii), and I got also a windows phone and it is funny the integration with the social part of XBL..
Maybe one day also the added services that actually are available only in North America will be extended to other countries, but some of them are already available at least in Italy..
So, my choice is X1... From January 2014 ;-)

Hard to say about the consoles. Preference would be the PS4, though I'd probably lean more towards joining the PC mustard race anyway.

But, I wouldn't support any tech costing in the hundreds before it launches. I can do that when there's something more tangible to actually base it off. The hearsay and rumors going around the media regarding the two are an absolute cluster**** at the moment.

EDIT wrong(ish) thread, sorry.

Heh, GTA V was
- first console game I have played with any proper devotion in 10 years or so.
- First video game that makes me to stop playing it solely because of a bug I can do nothing about in 10 years or so.

Once I finished the main story, my in-game Internet broke down, trying top open it makes minimaps disappear. Very long time back I stopped doing Lester's Assassination missions solely due to wanting dat heist money to play with on stock market. So this is a gigantic bummer. :(

Rockstar can only offer useless bullshït in terms of advice;
They offer two varieties of sagely wisdom:

- Ah but see, we fixed this issue like a month back:) It apppears your PS3 is not online, otherwise you wouldn't have this bug:)
or
- You can fix this issue yourself by uninstalling GTA V and starting a new game:)

Thanks Rockstar!

Brave New World, where PC and console converge .

I suspect we'll get more of this in the new generation. One of the reasons I'm not considering buying one of the new consoles (and I have all machines of the last 2 generations) is because they're becoming more PC-like but not entirely in a good way. And that also applies to the games.

Neither appeal to me.

But perhaps if the Sony Defense Force had spent half as much effort into standing up for themselves as they did whining about the Xbone, Sony wouldn't be implementing paid online.

These guys spent YEARS bashing the Xbox Live paywall, then Sony comes out with a paywall of their own, and they completely changed their minds THAT SECOND and started telling everyone to get a job.

There was no coming to terms with their beloved company ****ting all over them, they just went for the Sony kool aid.

Except they aren't drinking it, they are drowning in it, and they don't give a damn.

If it means better servers, I'm all for it.  I'm already PS +, so it doesn't bother me---I have a very nice backlog of "free" (I consider them rented) games.  I understand why some may be upset, though.

Sorry if I'm late to the party with this news:

Sony Reserves the Right to Monitor & Record PlayStation 4 Activity

This bit is from Sony's Software Usage Terms (it's in the article):

Are we monitoring PSN?

Yes but we can’t monitor all PSN activity and we make no commitment to do so. However, we reserve the right in our sole discretion to monitor and record any or all of your PSN activity and to remove any of your UGM at our sole discretion, without further notice to you.

Currently, the PS4. I prefer a system with less restrictions, and whilst Microsoft have obviously lifted their restrictions in terms of DRM and used games fees, I don't like knowing that this is part of the plan for the Xbox. They could quite easily be put back and I'd put money on their being other systems in place which aren't immediately obvious. I also like the look of it better, don't want a kinect camera, and would like all my games to look as good as they can, and the PS4 is the system with the highest specs. I'm not just talking about running CoD at 1080p native, I'm talking about the processing hardware in general. The fact that one is capable of running the same game at a higher resolution is telling. There are also some games I'm liking the look of. I'd rather play Killzone than Ryse, for example.

In saying that, I do like some of the UI features for the Xbox, and the fact that I actually have a 360 which I use regularly and a seven year old Xbox account, with friends who aren't that worried about the opinions of the gaming community, means I'll end up buying an Xbone at some point in the future, possibly when Destiny, Halo or Titanfall arrive.

The internet won't make a big deal about it because it's not MS doing it.

The possibility of this did pop up right after E3, as far as blocking used games were concerned. Sony only said that they wouldn't block used games. "They" being 1st party studios. As far as spying on your PSN activity, that SHOULD ruffle some feathers. Like you said though, Microsoft isn't doing it, or announced to be doing it, so maybe the backlash will be smaller. It shouldn't be though.
