If this was off-host footage, I'd say that the hosts machine thinks that you're standing directly in front of the atlas, this would explain it meleeing a spot directly in front of it, then magnet clawing you to that spot for the sync-kill.

But this was on host. Odd.

Notice that the atlas start off looking directly at your position, then twists it's hips to look directly forward at around the same time you cast proxy mine. Could the proxy mine have confused the atlas's AI somehow?

This looked to be a pretty good speedrun. I too was using the venom and died in the exact same way.

Atlas' can grab you from cover, try not to stay near them after a ground pound.
