So, what do you when you notice someone is really trying to nuke spawns and hordes of enemies on Wave 11 to top you on the leaderboards when all you've simply done was kicking *** the whole time and not minding any attention to your team mates?

I get this a lot during PUG matches on Gold and Platinum. I nuke about 3 times within a match, but in the end you have the second guy on the leaderboards who is just jealous and needs to top you by nuking a bunch on Wave 11 or they won't feel good about themselves. How do you keep yourself on top if you notice the jealous player catchin' up to your score through hard nuking? How do you maintain your dominance?

By not letting them get close enough in the first place.

I usually let them go from 40,000 points to 65,000 points.  What's it to me, anyway?

This sounds like both parties are bad.

Also, the only people that care about scorewhores are other scorewhores.

Yes, it's tempting to not be a score****, but when it comes to maintaining your own rightful place, something needs to be done....

I let them do whatever, more points for the team.

Only good players tend to outscore me but good players rarely spam missiles so it doesn't bother me.
The average random who goes nuts on extraction usually only reduces his deficit slightly.

i never care when people do that and i don't care about the scoreboard. if someone wants to blast all their missiles on wave 11, more power to them.

Look honey, if that pug needs to use missiles on wave 11 to catch up to me, he isn't gonna catch up in the first place.

Love your answer! The PUGs mostly do reckless missiling.

I don't much care for Wave 11 nuking, but I don't really see the issue as being one of "knowing one's place."

I'm not generally a score hog, but I do get a bit competitive when someone takes out their nukes and spam it crazily. I try not to nuke at all unless necessary, or if I just really want to nuke.

If it's on Hydra, I don't mind since I do it myself for lulz from the back ammo box shooting through the archway. Otherwise, I don't mind. Just don't missile two praetorians on the opposite side of the map from the device I'm disabling.

tl;dr, yes do it, who cares ffs.

Nah, don't care. Show off the bling at the end scroreboard instead.
10 headshots > score.

20 headshots > 10 headshots

20 headshots gold medal is always better then the silver medal for 10 headshots in the end. Too bad I wish there was a 30 headshot wood medal.

I simply continue kicking ass. Most of the time I still outscore them in the end and if not, I'll have a chuckle and find a new lobby.

Also- Who exactly is worried about the scoreboard in this scenario?

Well my "rightful place" is bottom of the score board so I don't need to do much to keep it

What should I care for if some random guy on the other hand of the internet connection wastes easily replenishable ressources in a cooperative videogame?

If anything, I'll take the extra experience points.

Not that it matters anymore ...

Obviously you need to nuke harder, it's a nuke competition!
