OP, I understand your motivation but don't share it at all. I don't even think about score until the match is over and the score screen is loading. "Oh yeah, let's see how I did." At that point I just look for a few things:
  • How long the match took.
  • Whether any of the puggers were just complete leeches.
  • Revive medals, on me and the others.
  • If I was using a normal kit and other people were using superkits did I at least stay close?
  • If I was using a mad killer kit did I represent the kit well?
But actually checking the score during a match? LOL, no. More power to you though!

Acceptable reason to nuke (imho):
Wave 6 and 10 inorder to complete the task faster, sometimes the last few enemies @ after completion of operation (wave10) inorder to be done with the match.
Sometimes a single enemy (even if it's a regular trooper) 'cause you feel like it.... xD
Wave 7 and up when there are masses of enemies in one place

Though seriously if you're havin' a match with really good PUGs it might happen that the difference in score is just cause of good/bad luck, and cause everyone is so strong no situation occurs where you might need a missle;)

A good score is not everything, support and not going down are better indicators for a good player.
A Juggernaut is not useless on Platinum just because of a lower score than the rest of the team ;)

You're on PS3 OP? Well, from your thread and posts I could have sworn, you must be on XBOX. If you want competition, then why are you playing a player vs enemy game? Play a PvP like CoD instead to measure your e-peen with other 13 year old kids. Also play one game with TMB and try to keep up with him - you can use even 9 missiles in game but nonetheless won't be able to do it. Skill > missiles.

As long as it doesn't prevent me from extracting, I don't give a damn.

Let them do it..The total team score is what gives you XP..Either that guy or you or one of the other players is probably not fully levelled up. If its you that is still level 12 and that dudes a level 20, then smile smugly to yourself knowing he's just edged you a little closer to your goal at the expense of his missile count

I only get outscored by friends or people I know (I usually come in 4th place), never by random pugs, so this isn't an issue for me. I'm actually glad whenever this happens because it means more points for the whole team, and more points equals more xp, so I'm always happy to see some missiles being fired on wave 11. The only thing that annoys me is when those pugs don't use a single missile on the first 10 waves. That's annoying.

I have to admit, I always check the score after every single wave and multiple times during most waves. I do that every single game, it's a bad habit . It might sounds silly to most, but the scoreboard highly motivates me to up my game, especially if I'm falling behind good players.

Annoying Pugs? I let myself bleed out in wave 10 to see if they are good enough to save the match.

Also, if you need three nukes to top a pug, the blame's on you alone.

Eh, it's your game. You bought it. Play it however you want to. Just don't be surprised if no one else wants to play it with you.

It's a team game. Who cares who is at the top? What about the guy who has been running around claiming objectives and resing? He isn't going to have as many kills but without that everyone would fail. People who winge when you assist do my head in. Its a team game. I dont even look at my score just weather the team succeded or failed.

"Rightful place"? Oh, my.

But seriously, the only spawn nuking that bothers me is a) saving all your missiles for Wave 11 while the rest of us had to use some strategically to help/save others or clear a path for objective completion (thanks so much for your help, Scrooge McDuck), and B) objective wave spawn nuking that is nowhere near the objective, so it is blatant score-ho'ing AND puts the objective at risk when a whole spawn dumps on my head while I'm carrying the pizza/escorting the drone/etc.

Had Mr. BOTB banner do this the other day because apparently me leading the scoreboard hurt his little feelings, so he blew all his missiles at the beginning of objective waves nuking spawns on the other side of the map from the objective. Still outscored the d-bag, but I was miffed.

Score does matter but only when it's a huge disparity. Completing objectives, timely rocketing to prevent wipes, revives so on, etc are more important than score.

If I've played a solid game and outscored someone in match and they feel the need to nuke on wave 11, whatever, more power to them. I use missiles for around four things now days 1)Revenge!!!! 2)Prevent a wipe/save a teammate 3)speed games along 4)lulz/because that single enemy had it coming.

lol most of the BSNers I've played with do this too, while at the same time pretending on BSN that they're too good  to spawn-nuke.  Also they love to spend entire objective waves killing as many enemies as possible.  I wonder why?

So, what do you when you notice someone is really trying to nuke spawns and hordes of enemies on Wave 11 to top you on the leaderboards when all you've simply done was kicking *** the whole time and not minding any attention to your team mates?

This sounds like both parties are bad.

Also, the only people that care about score****s are other score****s.

Sometimes I'll just use all my 6 missiles on him and if he dies mess a bit with him. lol
I just find it stupid, when someone starts nuking W11, when they are lvl 20. I prefer to have 6 rage missiles only, I need to make sure those fkn pets died. lol
