I would hazard an exception for kits without a dodge. Been working on a Fitness-less BatDept and am having some real trouble keeping him alive long enough to dish out the hate. I'm sure battlefield spawn awareness helps a great deal, but I'm not at that point. (If that makes me scrubby, so be it.)

Sometimes when I'm playing with really good players (based on reputation, BoTB, etc.) I'm amazed at the number of times they go down. It's bad enough when PUGs die constantly. I make not dying a priority just 'cause it annoys me to be rezzing people constantly. Spec into fitness!

All of my batarians except for adept have at least some fitness, as do krogans, either boosting their melee, or increasing their already substantial health, so that they can stand in the open with a machine gun, etc, for longer without having to worry.

I guess if you're doing a build for whatever weapon interchangable?MofuggerX wrote...
I like Fitness on several Infiltrators since I only need four or five ranks in Tactical Cloak, as most of the time I'm rocking a shotgun or anything that isn't a sniper rifle anyways. I had friends that would still put six ranks in Cloak... when using a Wraith. Quite odd.

Yep, I said it.
Fitness is only decent
1)if there is no other better power options.
2)if used for melee.
3)if you have a class designed entirely around being a tank, like the Juggernaut. Which most juggernauts suck anyways so I guess it still sucks.
4)if the fitness tree gives you something else in return like movement speed.
Spec your powers, get a cylconic crutch on and destroy some aliens/robots/insects/scrubs.
It is easy to run low on cyclonics, by the by.

Ranks or points? If it's points, then same here, at least 3.

Basically. GI and SI are great for this since Proxy only needs five ranks, it's very feasible to have Fitness at five and still have full passives and Energy Drain/Hunter Mode. QMI can still have four in Fitness with only four in Cloak. And just like that, three Infiltrators capable of rocking any non-sniper weapon.

About cyclonics, your stock can drop very fast if you mainly play platinum, so can you really rely on that ?

With all the specifications you enumerated, I agree for the most part. I would add that fitness is not needed for characters with a dodging ability.

All depends on the kit you play. For example, I play very aggressively with my Vanilladept on Platinum, so I normally bring a Cyclonic for him.
With the Quarian Female Infiltrator (most infiltrators really) I don't need it because I tend to be out of sight most the match with the Black Widow doing most of the killing, so I'll bring a Power Amp IV for when I use Sticky Grenades.

I try to solo quite a bit which really takes a toll on them. On infiltrators and a few other I rarely run them so kind of irrelevant. There are always a few kits where fitness just makes sense because it's the only real viable alternative like Drell.loufi1528 wrote...
