I want to create a modal ability that persist trought death. The deal is to always have the modal ability active when you are dead and also when you are revived.
For now, I succed to keep an effect applied by this modal ability. But the modal ability itself is always deactivated (at least the button is off). So for now my revived character has the effect but not the ability active.
The problem is that after revived, there is no way to remove the effect because the ability has been deactivated on death, but the effect stay, see ? :s
So the question is : how to have a modal ability stay active before, during and after death ?

I haven't looked into this, but I'd probably start with the IgnoreDeath column in effects.xls. Then when that didn't directly apply, I'd try to use EVENT_TYPE_SET_GAME_MODE or player_core to keep the mode consistent with the status of an effect variable, plot flag or local variable.

I see. IgnoreDeath seems to only affect effects and not the ability that applied the effect. I though abilities were deactivated because the effect was removed on death with RemoveAllEffects but it is finally not related.
I will try to find an other solution with events yes why not.
