I said that to Quistina, not you.

According to Mage Origin, one section of books emptied out by the First Enchanter, books of Blood Magic are in the First Enchanter room. Irving remove them as advised by Gregoir because there are suspect of apprentices learning Blood Magic from it, it is Jowan and the rest of Blood Mages you encounter in Broken Circle

Actually...it is a poor execution by the devs...but we can assume circle Mages do learn about Blood Magic theory, not practical

Yeah, I forgot about that plausibility.

So yeah, mages probably learn about Blood Magic theory.
Perhaps to avoid using it by accident and maybe to do recreate some positive aspects of blood magic but with use of ordinary magic.

Those fraternity exist in a controlled condition, in anyway, they cannot against the Chantry

But they're still not indoctrinated and are allowed to speak their opinion and criticize Templar's and the Chantry.

You still equalize Axis and Allies war crimes!

What in the world are you talking about?
Whole time I was saying Allies didn't do even remotely as much crimes as the Axis.

And no more, the discussion ends here. It's too off topic.

In case you've got sudden amnesia.

Mesina2 wrote...
While yes, Axis and Communist forces did that, however Allies with just few exception did not commit such war crimes and respected Geneva Convections.

Well excuuuuuuuuse me for not being more specific and shown numbers how Axis were way worse, since it's not on topic and wanted limit my talk on that topic.

NOW!

Middle ground.

Let's reform the Circle and give mages more freedom's and rights and for Templar's to stop treating them as prisoners. Possibility of putting the Seeker's to regulate both mages and Templar's not going too far.

I think Star fury's problem is that the Communist forces were Allies; they weren't separate groups, and you mentioned that they were the ones who were as bad as the Axis.

Yes! You got it at once, but for some people it takes ages to understand that.

Mesina2 try to make "Allied is good" as "Templars is good"...it's the same propaganda. While i never mention any of WW2 factions in my statement about prisoner of war and concentration camp, i give in general.

My point is the Circle system is similar with that, the prisoners are kept with a purpose, when they are used, they are killed. Who want to feed the enemy? POW only drain the resources

@Qistina

No, I do not that since that analogy is just terrible.

Templar's are obviously not the good guys. They are major cause of mage rebellion.
Not even once did I defended Templar's.

However they are not fundamentally evil and their purpose makes sense. Watch over and protect the mages from everyone and themselves.
So they're are in a way an elite police force.
Though they are in need of the dire reforms, as they are too rigid, totalitarian and not hold in high enough standard. So they need to reform or be replaced by new similar organization.

I presume there's some sort of personal history-based reason for your passion on this matter?

Although, while I don't doubt that the conduct of the Axis forces was worse overall, the Allies had things like the rape of Berlin.

Qistina, when you bring real life examples it has no connection with what's going on in DA because you have all these wild theories that completely ignore lore and everything else. It's all in your head and you just love to make a drama out of every situation. It's bad soap opera.

No they don't, they are not the elite police force, they are the agent of religious organization, their job is to protect the Chantry and to execute Chantry policy

They need to be disbanded because their existence itself is religious bias. Not everyone are Andrasterians, Templar function is to spread the religion with sword

This is what Duncan say about the Chantry and the Mages

Edit : The whole premise in DA is already bias toward Mages...DA:O intro is Chantry propaganda to begin with

Look at that guy in the screenshot crusading with his mighty sword by ignoring his duties and protecting the villagers. Look at him! He reeks of nastiness.

Exactly. The templars will never work. They are Lyrium addicts that are fed on the chantry paranoia that mages should be kept on an tight leach with no freedom whatsoever. What king Alistair suggested was best. Create an circle tower with no ties to the Chantry, and the mages would be watched over by knights sent by the kingdom.

Yet he do nothing about "Bandits, bandits everywhere!"....it is the Warden and Co who deal with those Bandits. Templars are there wearing fancy heavy armor is just for a show

Edit : Not only that, a sister extorting a merchant want to confisticate all his wares using Templars

Keep in mind that the templars left with the Chantry priests before all the villagers did, such as Hawke.

Templar's duty is way more complicated to be merely simplified in just one sentence of just one random Templar.

The templars chased them away. If they'd have killed them then your argument will be "Oh noes, see how evil templars are? They killed some bandits asking for money and scaring travelers. Evil I say! They were just trying to get by."

Maybe because that merchant was being a [removed profanity] and charging double. And she was the one being harassed by the merchant. He even pays you to shoo her away.

If you tell him about the bandits rather than killing them, he'll run them off.

There was a horde of darkspawn coming their way. Standing there and protecting the whole village because some wouldn't budge is suicidal. If some villagers decided to stay instead of following the Chantry and templars, it's their own fault.

Warden and Co arrived in Lothering, she saw a dead Templar laying down, there's bandit asking money, the Warden and Co kill them all....then finally get into that village, a Templar greet her saying "if you want to find shelter, there's no place for you"...the Waqrden ask "do you know there's bandit outside the village?"...Templar said "Oh, ask Ser Bryant"

Warden and Co meet Ser Bryant, talking about the Bandit and tell that she already deal with them "you...kill...them...?" says Ser Bryant, another Templar come and say "Yes she did, i saw everything!", nod and leave..."Ah well, they ask for it themselves, here 20 silver for a reward, if you are interested, there's a lot of job at Chanterboad"...the job is killing bandits

Edit : The dead Templar is Ser Henric, not Lothering Templar, he just arrived there from Denerim
