As of now, there are no Circles and expecting anyone to enforce their rules during this war seems... very, very unlikely. And supporting the templars in their war is simply monstrous. I don't think setting up a new system can be done except in peacetime.

Well, the Tevinter Circles are still in operation.  But otherwise, yeah the Circle system is defunct.

And technically, the templars exist in name only.  Templars were an arm of the Chantry, and they have largely broken away just as the Circles have.

As far as I'm concerned, peace can break out if you take away the reason to fight.  Coming up with a solution both sides can accept (at least in principle) could end the war.

Anti-Magic or Miracle is neutralizing magic, and it's a part of "Magic" that is "the gift of the Maker" to mankind or elfkind or whatever-kind

Chantry is just jealous, they claim the Maker have abandon the world, and darkspawn is because of Mages, they demonize Mages, they ignore every sign the Maker given of their wrongness....they oppress Mages that is the Maker creation, they thought the Maker is unwise, not all-knowing of His own creation

And then the Maker sent His children named Justice to teach the Chantry through Anders.....

So Anders is like Jesus with Holy Spirit

No. ****ing no.

1. Justice doesn't know the maker, he is not his son.

2. Anders is jesus. **** please.

3. You seem to imply mages are more the makers children then normal people are.

4. There is no maker with a presence in this world. I wouldn't have been able to poison the urn if that wasn't the case. Saying magic I'd hid gift is biased at best.

5. There is no miracle with anti magic. And it isn't the same as anti-matter. It's energy canceling energy by going at basically sn inverted wavelength.

Tevinter Imperium maybe bad...but that is why there is Andraste...

I can say Andraste is a Mage herself and using Anti-Magic that is MIRACLE against Tevinter Mages....the Chantry Templars try to imitate it as we can see in DA:O Templar ability is Spirit School Magic

The Magisters use blood and not mana, but Anti-Magic is neutralizing Magic, so it is no problem for Andraste if the Magisters use blood or mana, because magic itself is neutralized

I don't know how to explain...but the Chantry twisting everything

The reason to fight, on the templars' side is mages existing; even in peacetime, they constantly inflict violence against mages, through Annulment, Tranquility or execution. I don't think you can take this away.

Also, while I don't believe in the Maker, I do think it'd be quite interesting to see some religious sects grow around Anders.

How convenient that you think evrything can be blamed on the chantry. Personal responsibility? Blame it on the chantry. Breaking the law? Blame it on the chantry.

Typical.

She likes playing the blame game.

I don't see it as that simple.  The ideal templar is supposed to protect mages just as much as they are supposed to protect muggles from mages.  Obviously, that got perverted in the thousand years since their formation.  But the ideal is still worthy of pursuit.

I think the Maker exists, though he/she/it probably isn't what most Andrastrians think.

But yeah, seeing a Cult of Anders form would be...interesting...Image IPB

It's an ideal, yes. That doesn't mean that the current Order has ever followed it or should be allowed to exist, still. It can be used later for a different group, but not this one.

Well, like I said, the Templar Order doesn't really exist anymore, any more than the Circle of Magi exists.  And it's pretty obvious at this point neither group functions as intended, if they ever did.

So a new, different group, for both mages and "templars", is pretty much a given.  Just hopefully with more of a mindset that magic is potentially dangerous, not inherently evil.

Anyone catering to either of these parties has no interest in a middle ground.

Right. Seeing as I oppose large government of any kind and love individual rights and freedom, and taking accountability for one's own actions, I'll simply say I'll disagree with this statement completely, and leave it at that.

This gets too close to real-life politics for my liking.

@Qistina: So, that's a "No" on the New World Order - a "Yes" on the messiah.

Check.

Are we talking Andraste or some other messiah?

Andraste and your mysterious personal character..

Together they will bring justice, harmony, fightig the evil, fill the earth with love, cleanse it from evil...and build the kingdom of heaven on earth.....

Why a government? Why not a new form of ruling body all together.

Neither kingdom or empire or state or government, the next step.

Based on your posts I'd say English isn't your first language, if that's the case do try and avoid sarcasm.

If English is your first language I'd like to know who taught you to speak it because you got shafted.

@Qistina: That's wonderful!

So Andraste and I are going to spread the good news of the Maker and create heaven on earth.

I bet we're going to have to be careful of the evil doings of ha-satan?

This is gonna be epic!

But - you might wanna be careful of spoiling it for the rest of the BSN.
