With the exception of the wicked radius upgrade, nothing that the old singularity could do has changed.IllusiveManJr wrote...

Not really, or it's a little dependent on what weapons and equipment are available for you. The optimal build would be 6/6/6/6/0, with Cyclonics IV and an Acolyte&Hurricane (or maybe with a Collector SMG), and a Geth Scanner/AC5. But there are plenty of viable alternatives to that, depending on what you want to use, and the only real way to screw up this kit is not to fully spec all the powers, as the OP did. Personally I wouldn't try to run with only base shields and health either, but there are different schools of thought on the subject. I couldn't pin point the exact minimum amount of barriers, but I wouldn't play with less than 800, and preferably more. Regardless of weaponry or gear.
6/6/6/0/6 build is sensible if you don't have much of a manifest. Like if you cannot afford to throw those Cyclonics III-IVs, and if your best caster weapon is low level rares and URs (not counting an Acolyte, which is quite potent even on lower levels) or commons and uncommons.

Yup. And still one of my strongest kits. The adept (singularity) is just so very very good. You can even skip warp and do ok with it.

Singularity, warp, be, warp, singularity explodes, be. Two 6+6 BEs in 3 cooldowns. One of the best.
Warp shockwave, one of the most powerfull BE's.
Warp incendiary cheese.
Power damage does not increase BE damage, but does increase total damage output of the combined powers. If you go for a caster build, in most scenarios(shotguns may be different) then you have better dps output from power damage passives, than if you go for weapon damage passives since you can only shoot between cooldowns, and the difference then between full weapon damage is maybe 100 at best, which you would do more damage choosing power damage and using your powers.

Well, the old Singularity did also have a much shorter cooldown.

Are people just waving their sausage in
the middle of cooldowns or why are they suggesting no passives builds?
Spec some weapon damage and shoot stuff between cooldowns. You get more
kills.
Really, except for some particular classes like the Turians, the passive doesn't make that much of a difference because it's only a small additive weapon bonus on top of all sorts of other bonuses from your barrel, rail, gear and ammo. For the Human Adept, you're looking at a difference of like 10% damage maybe.
That being said, I'd prefer 6/6/6/3/5, 6/6/6/4/4, 6/6/0/6/6...

For the weapons, acolyte and hurricane seems to me the best combination for a solo. In a team game, I equip just the talon pistol.

Hmm. It looks like Mass Effect stole a few things from BSG. Raptors, vipers, raiders, guardians, centurions, and now airlocks.

Moral of the story, full power damage~200% casters. Or go full weapons platform. Mid way is more an all rounder but lower dps than either.

The human adept is the best basic kit for starters IMO. Looking back I wish I had chosen this class when I started but I chose the human soldier LOL.
Warp is kind of necessary on this kit especially when you consider how unreliable shockwave can be.

Moar BEs!
Power passives don't affect explosion damage but its always nice to have a bit more weight capacity and weapon damage.
Power passives do affect BE's don't they? 2, 4B and 5A give a 30% force bonus.

No, they don't. The only thing that affects BE's are the levels of the powers used, and any BE-specific evolution on said powers.ThinkBlueN7 wrote...
