I've made do without this Warp/Inferno Ammo glitch so far, I can't be missing out on much right?

Warp has to be primed for it to work. So if warp detonates something or if some other power detonates warp, it will behave like a normal warp + incendiary ammo.
Care to provide a source? Because last time I checked, this was not true.
On topic, I've never voluntarily used the warp + incendiary glitch and all the associated ones. That said, I also have never changed my playstile not to use it, and I refuse to do so.

Ramps on the other hand... Let's just say they are the path to Krogan ascension.

This. I play and whatever happens, happens. If it shouldn't be happening, Bioware will fix it.

I could be wrong, but that was my understanding based on other posts I have seen. Its also been my subjective experience while playing. I often see the damage not ramp up, and I have always attributed it to the chaos of other players priming/detonating. But I suppose those moments could simply be lag induced.

Stop shooting and let the DoT take effect.
You'll notice it.

This. Just like the "pure" incendiary ammo.

Okay thanks. Is it warp > shoot > sit back, or shoot > warp > sit back?

This. If you're looking for upfront damage you won't find it, the ridiculousness is in the DOT stacks.
Also, OP, this glitch was around when you were playing, it just wasn't brought up as much as we didn't have as many cheesy kits as now.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure either. I had that impression just like you, then some time ago I decided to make sure if I was right, went through some of the data threads and found nothing that would hint at that. But I might have missed something...
Anyone knows more about it?

Application might be frame rate dependent. It mostly definitely is on the Reegar which was proven. I would imagine other high ROF weapons might lose some of the effect off host. Glitch is a LOT more apparent with the Reegar on PC than anything console people will ever see.DcIhNaGv3z wrote...

I think you get the greatest effect from Warp THEN shooting, so that warp is the original DOT owner. Can do the same with inferno grenades or incinerate instead of warp IIRC. Infernos are particularly good because they don't get dodged!

You don't need a Reegar to see it... Any high ROF gun or shotgun will do it. Hell, IIRC one of the first ways this bug came to our attention was when someone used a Claymore + inc ammo on a Turian Sentinel and OHKed Warped Brutes with it.

AFAIK you don't need the Warp to be primed for it to work (that's only for Warp Ammo). But I think detonating the Fire Explosion might screw it up. Therefore, you Warp before you shoot.
Given that warp + incendiary is basically a beefed up incendiary dot, I believe this is not true either, because this.

Wouldn't the debuff of warp also contribute to the ammo power doing more damage?OniGanon wrote...

This might be of some help which describes what exactly is going on mechanically with the glitch.

Perhaps I didn't follow it correctly, but that thread seems only to be confirming that detonating the FE is a bad thing when trying to abuse the glitch.

I'm not sure... I guess so. But the debuff persists after the biotic explosion anyway, so what does it matter?

I believe you're correct Oni.
I think I remember watching that video when the bug first came to light, it was on Condor wasn't it?.
