Im not to sure if he will even be talked about again considering the console bug with his quest after you free him but i hope that dose not make bioware scrap him completely.

Lily did it to herself, not Jowan.

How so ? If anything i think Jowan was always very meek and agreed with an uper post whiney. Sure he lied and ditched Lilly but i honestly think the only reason he became a blood mage becuase he was backed into a corner with the possibility of him being made tranquil he was aftraid and weak how else would you react after years of being weak compared to your own friend.

When my mage woke up after the Harrowing - I was hoping the "Demon!" reaction would have had my mage turn him into a puddle of goo.
Alas - his buffoonery is to last through too much of Origins.

I'd fall on my sword before I let my my lover suffer like that due to my actions. I'd lie and say I made her do and do whatever I had the power to do to save the woman I loved even if that meant me sacrificing my own life.

Jowan was very week minded, his heart may have been in the right place and yes he did try and use blood magic to escape. He did this trying to escape with Lily, Lily at that time rejected him... had Jowan been truthful with her about what he was who knows. His weakness was then letting Lily take the fall for his actions by running away.
Jowan was far from being weak minded. Lily knew having a relationship with a mage was illegal by Chantry law, and she did it anyways. Being a blood mage is a serious offense (Is an automatic death sentence), and all of the mages knew about it. Why the hell would he tell Lily of all people about who he truly was? We saw just how unfaithful she was with him during the altercation between The Knight-Commander and her... And how Jowan used blood magic to PROTECT her... yet she was ungrateful and rejected him.
Jowan was right not telling her about being a blood mage. She was an untrusting person.

He LIED!!!! he point blank flat out LIED to her. She risked everything every vow, and gave him privledged information. they intrusted this information to a friend who he then LIED to when asked. Depending on how you play your warden you can still help him as a friend or you can go to Irving. He is week minded. He is counting on two people possibly ruining there lives to help him out of a tight spot. One he claims to loves, and the other a good friend. He knew he had been busted as a blood mage and continued to lie and left others to clean up his mess.

Oh right... Jowan was suppose to spill the beans out on someone who was in the process of working for the Chantry and say "Honey I know you're an initiate for the Chantry, but I want to tell you that I'm a blood mage.. Do you still accept this in our relationship?" I don't see that as lying. Jowan did not force her to disclose private information, she did it willingly. She betrayed the Chantry by attempting to aid a Mage to escape, and therefour what she gets is her own damn fault, not Jowan.

In the Mage orgins gameplay Jowan is suppose to be a friend that you knew since 5 or 6 years old. Loyal is faithful to a cause, ideal, custom, institution, or product. You're suppose to be loyal to your friend by aiding him in his escape. That is what a good friend would do in such situation that he was in. Why would I tell Irving when he agreed to having my friend to undergo the Rite of Tranquilly. At this point I must choose a side... betraying my bestfriend by telling Irving, or help him to escape. I rather choose my bestfriend because that is the person I am.
