Why do so many not rate Ashley as high as the other girls?

What about Udina?  From the time the elevator doors opened to the point Ash had her gun trained on Udina was slightly over a minute (I checked once) Shep made one paragon interrupt (to signal teh squad to put up their weapons) and made one dialogue option (which was not blue/red text) and it was all over.  No real convincing needed.

And yes, my first visit, Ash said she accepted that Shepard cut all ties.  On my second visit she expressed an interest in rejoining the Normandy.  And after the coup, she asked again, saying she'd rather be on the team than off with Hackett.

That is only one of several possibilities, others have the VS act like an idiot.

The reason, Massively, is very simple. Because the narrative says so.

You're deluded. You expect, by default, the ability and right to define the story with the characters, events, and themes you want, and only those which you want. Anything else is apparently 'bad writing.' The story is not obligated to cater to you in any form or fashion whatsoever.

The lack of self-awareness in this post is delicious.=]

Tali - Wanted to wipe out an entire sentient species.

Liara - awesome in every way possible. But unlike Kasumi is so extremely loyal to Shepard that even death cannot shake her devotion. Also has IMO the best body among ME women.

All characters except for EDI approve of the destruction of the Geth(or at least don't object). Tali actually laments the Geths' demise far more than most other squadmembers.

I don't get it, Liara has the exact same body as all other random Asari. "Awesome in every way possible" is just wrong, all characters have flaws.

"Awesome" doesn't mean "perfect." Also, it's subtle, but Liara does have a unique model, along with a lot of other squadmates.

Her model is stupid. She went from mosquito bite breasts in ME1 to pornstar. It's kind of patronizing, just like Miranda's ass.

I have not the faintest idea what you're talking about. Her model makes perfect sense.

Her breasts got twice as large once LotSB came out. I just mean it's stupid as to the marketing sense behind all of this.. simple pandering to teenage male gamer demographics. Or maybe it's smart. Not sure. Sex sells, right?

Her proportions don't really follow with the outfit, though. Take ME2. When she's wearing a regular dress on the Normandy (I'm excluding the encounter on Illium because it's the old version), she pretty much looks about the same proportion as before, though I'm guessing that this is based off of a common body model used for female characters wearing dresses. The same is true of ME3, specifically in the Citadel DLC, where she also wears a dress, and it's the same story.

ME2, before LotSB and using the ME1 model.
LotSB and ME3 model.
I have no clue what you're talking about, with either "mosquito bite" claims, or her breasts doubling in size.

The only ones that have a big effect on her proportions are the two default armors, the one she wears normally everywhere, and the alternate that comes in the vanilla game. I guess there's also the alternate appearance, though I'm not sure if it's based on anything from multiplayer, the N7 one (neither of which exaggerate her body), and the one you get from From Ashes, which is just an Alliance-branded version of the Cerberus armor the phantoms wear, so that body is pretty much identical.

Thankfully, I've never encountered those.  I don't treat Ash like sh...manure. ;)

It might just be those two armors. Now I'm not sure (tbh). Haven't played in a while. It seemed to stick out to me though, compared to ME1.

They don't have to rejoin the Normandy, just not burn all of their bridges.

How are they burning all their bridges? Shepard is not the end all be all of their world.

They're presumably my friend for a reason. I want to know more about a situation so odd before making any judgments.

I'm not saying it's wrong for you to do that. I'm saying that other people would not do what you would. At least not so soon. They may blow their friend off completely and not want to listen to anything they have to say. They may pass judgment and have suspicions about their friend's character. It doesn't make that person bad for doing so.  It can be quite understandable. Bringing it back to ME and the VS. imo, they are well within their own right to not trust Shepard or Cerberus.

Actually, I finished the Horizon mission again and one of the points Kaidan mentioned was the possibility of Cerberus fooling Shepard.  This makes sense from his pov as we also find out that TIM set the whole meeting up and lured the Collectors to the colony by spreading rumors about Shepard being alive and working for Cerberus. He (Kaidan) even admits that even if Shepard himself is trustworthy, Cerberus is not. Was he wrong?

In ME3...I can't remember much of their argument. From what I do recall is that he concluded that Shepard was working for Cerberus again because they just so happen to be on Mars before them. I just see it as an old wound being reopened.

No matter how strong the female character traits are in the other girls, and appealing as they are in there unique way, Ashley is the perfect fit for Shepard.  Perfect!  She has it all wrapped up in one package that mirrors Shepherd.  Do you not agree? Why or why not?

Because that thing in ME3 was not Ashley

I'm still baffled that people think the VS were in the wrong, sure Cerberus are trustworthy :P The VS went about it the wrong way, its not like they completely disowned Shepard though, heck Anderson only becomes honest with Shep in ME2 after the VS has confirmed that Shepard was telling the truth to the council. Hardly sounds like betrayal to me.

After what Shepard did to the Batarians, I'd justify their mistrust. No amount of friendship can make you fully trust a guy back from the dead after two years, who is working for terrorists and who's just committed an act of genocide!

I like the tension in the relationship, conflict with friends is more personal and engaging to the player than with enemies. It's a block in the relationship, it creates an obstacle outside of combat for the player to think about, this makes the character more real.

I understand the VS and what problem they're having in trusting Shepard, I understand why some people dislike them and that doesn't bother me too. I just think it's odd that some people fail to understand the concerns of the VS.

(I'm aware that this is a thread about Ash, but obviously Kaidan meets the same stigmas)

True enough. Shepard is highly dangerous and possibly psychotic. Or at least seems that way on accident. B)

Too bad I'm forced to do all of this. At least I am if I buy the DLC, that is.

Indeed, Shepards intentions could or could possibly not be in the right place. Regardless, they're only aware that Shepard commited genocide.

It is sad we're forced to do it; it's an interesting turn of events though, and helps prevent Shepard appearing as a Mary Sue character, aswell as making  the scale of the war hit home harder too.
