The first mission after the Citadel started fine although the controls are clunky compared to ME 2 & 3. I played them on veteran. The first was in the rover thing but after I landed on Feros? no mission starts. In ME 2 & 3 when you land you select a crew. That does not happen in ME 1. After I land nothing happens - no crew to select. What am I missing? Am I suppose to hit a certain key to kick start a mission after I land?
I hope this is not obvious because I landed on another planet & nothing happened there as well. What up a defect or operator error?

Go to the air lock next to the bridge. Exit the ship. When you exit you will be prompted to select your crew mates.
