However, the brain chemistry evolved is largely the same as any other mammal's. If you proscribe properties like happiness to the process of sex (which I as a principle don't) then you're proscribing it some mythical properties (a common theme among many religions and moral systems) which has no basis whatsoever in biochemistry.

The feelings you get during sex is pure instinct - it's nothing so sublime as to be described as joy or happiness. Rape victims can orgasm during the process. Would you define that as joy, happiness, or hedonism?

but how is a woman lying down and opening her legs for an animal a problem of consent? For males, perhaps (and it would be visible in the animal's reaction), but not for females. That's as consensual as you can get.

Yeah, I totally haven't heard of dolphins or their sexual behavior. If you want to argue then argue my whole point (which I suspect you don't want to), instead of a background generalization taken out of context.

Water beetles rape each other. Feel free to start a protest movement to denounce that as a hate crime if you dislike pretending to be special.
