well my question is did liara take your genes and make a kid?

Wasnt asari finding a mate suppose to happen way later in their lives?

she was at the starting age of just becoming an adult where they go explore and learn...

maybe you romancing her changed her greatly.

My point was she didn't really mesh with shepard's personallity if you look at the two from afar.  And actually by Asari standards she's way younger than Shepard.  I thought romancing her was on the same level of this www.youtube.com/watch

I just saw it as the romance between Diane and Sam from Cheers (without the adversity). If Diane were in her early twenties and Sam in his early thirties. Whereas with Samara she seems more like she's in her mid-late 40's.

And still, Shepard's personality is a variable, you can change it. You can't change Samara's personality. (Well... actually... you probably can, so never mind.)

Samara can at least relate to experiances shepard has had, Liara was so naive to most things it was laughable.

Liara wasn't really naive, so much as she wasn't really used to interacting with people. She was infinitely wiser and more knowledgable in certain fields than Shepard was.

I think those ****** are just there to tease us. Tali, Miranda, and Subject Zero are more probable romances.

If Tali is more probable than Samara then you need to look again, Logistics wise Samara is faaaar easier from a story/universe/graphical standpoint than Tali, though I do think Tali is also a LI, but development wise Samara is way easier to produce in a romantic light than a quarian.

She had book smarts but when it came to actual real world know how and experiance she was pathetically ignorant.  I cringed many times while listening to her speak in ME.  What it boils down to is that I felt Liara of all the old and new potential LI's was the least believable in my book, at least for shepard to romance, they had 0 in common with one another and their convo's were akward as sin, but, big but here, I don't care one bit if other's romanced her, that just wasn't my Liara in my games.

Also, bringing up the loyalty system, perhaps they've really done a good job and molded the character's ideas/beliefs/opinions around shepards choices and created a really diverse amount of potential relationships, I hope that's the case at least, which would make the "It will color her in a negative light" argument that much more irrelevent as she could potentially become Shepards enemy, or die, or other outcomes. *shrugs*

True, for development, however, due to all the promotion surrounding Tali and her large fanbase, I think she is a more likely LI.

Much more likely that both her and Samara are LIs.

Actually, and I know nobody will believe this, but I like Samara the most because she seems the most realisticly executed.  She's not loud or bombastic, she's quite and collected.  I think she's the most bada*s not just for her biotics but because of her attitude and beliefs.  The other new characters (minus Thane and maybe Mordin) are all obnoxious and constantly assert their supposed superiority, I hate that.  Even if she's not a LI, which I doubt, I'm pretty sure that she's gonna be my favorite character, and no, not because she's busting out of her uniform.  She reminds me of a female Batman which I dig :)

Oh, Samara's my favourite too (well, her, Mordin or Miranda), and she's definitely the most bad-ass character. But from a romance/story/graphical perspective the only thing she's got over Tali is sex. Otherwise I'd say they're about equal in the romance department.

Although figuring out what a quarian will look like under her suit is difficult as so many people will most likely not have Bioware's version of her in their minds after this much time, also the whole explenation of how they're relationship will work out, cultural traditions etc  I still think an Asari from a development and writing standpoint would be a breeze in comparison to a quarian.

I really hope Samara is romanceable.
She and SuZe are the two characters I'm the most interested in.

It is saddening :< I go through with that scene every time even though I know how it'll end. *sniffle* Sad for her as well though, since there is -something- there.

But, this is what fanfiction is for... *has already taken care of that for her fem-Shep*

I'm just hoping on that scene having some kind of reaction in ME3 =P

I was sorely disappointed with no Asari love in ME2. Especially with Samara in the game.

Samara is a Justicar (sp?) They make vows not to have children, which makes it almost clear that she won't be romanceable. Hopefully.

She is justicar but she also say she can be in romance if you talk to her on the normandy she will tell you more.So she could be a good romance in ME 3 (if she appear there, hopefully). She also kill monrith so she dont have nothing more to do that stick with shepard..so she could be a romance option.

There is a very serious reason Samara wont mate with you. There are three 'demons of the night winds' in existence and Samara has had three children. If you pay attention to her dialog you'll know what that means.

Hasn't it already been established that Asari can choose whether or not to carry children?
