I think there are plenty of reasons to like the Black Widow better, not the least of which is that it doesn't experience a delay in the firing mechanic.

But I wouldn't have any idea how they stack up under "optimal" circumstances. I suspect that headshots tip the scale in favour of the Black Widow, and non-headshots tip it the other way.

I can only get 20 headshot medal in Wave 8-10 on PS3 (not Xbox - aim assist kicks too much) and only then occasionally, but I'm still way better with the BW than the Javelin. So there are other factors that make one more favourable than the other, that depend on playstyle and skill.

Javelin is more fun and prob better for survivability since less time with tunnel vision, but black widow can def kill things faster

I have probably used both the Black Widow and Javelin more than all the people in this thread combined. I have had Black Widow X and Javelin X since the time when most people did not even have Black Widow I or Javelin I. I have used both weapon on-host and off-host and used every kind of ammo on both guns and have come to the conclusion that the Black Widow is just better than Javelin in more ways than the Javelin is better than the Black Widow. Try using Warp Ammo on both guns against Geth Gold, you will see Javelin fail miserably while the Black Widow will shine as usual.

in my experience javelin works better against geth than black widow.

Without Phasic Ammo or Disruptor Ammo Javelin is junk pretty bad against Geth. Try it. Dont say so I did not warn you.

But with Overload or Energy Drain, it is pretty amazing.

Because some people play Unknown Unknown games and Warp Ammo is better against Collectors and Reapers and Phasic Ammo is better against Cerberus and Geth and with my luck I get Geth whenever I choose Warp ammo.

Anyway Black Widow is still better than Javelin in most situations even with the right ammo types, especially when playing off-host where the Javelin shooting delay is a big factor in decreasing its effectiveness compared to the Black Widow.

No. But I still like Indra a lot but it is basically an AR with Sniper weaknesses and no real benefits other than a scope which is not that good because the maps in ME3 MP are mostly small.

Does a decent amount of damage, but the reason I love it is because it's a good primer. All snipers pale in comparison to the raptor anyway.
