Is there any way to stop trees swaying because some of them look like there's a hurricane coming ?
Thank you..
Can you stop trees moving ?

I think kamal has a video related to that on youtube, I don't know if he explains how though. I'm sure he'll answer it when he sees the thread

At least it sounds like it's possible which is good news.

Boo hoo ! I found the old post and kamal's video but it doesn't look like it's possible and the trees are in the mountains where it should be a bit windy so I'm not going to worry about it now..
Never mind it was worth a try.

The hurricane that affects NWN2 bugs me too...
It requires a custom trees.2da which gives you the option of selecting regular or no-sway versions, custom .spt files (the tree files), and textures files. My understanding is the no sway trees require separate textures from the stock trees of the same type. The stuff needs to be in the .hak for player use, and in override for builder use.
If you don't have the right files in the override and select the special trees in the toolset, you will crash the toolset. Not all nwn2 trees have no-sway versions. The spt files do not stop "leaf sway", only branch sway, so some trees look weird because of leaf sway.
I was never able to figure out who provided it to me, but it is not my work.

It's way too late for me to consider changing haks and things, it was just that as you said yourself they're annoying.
Weird though to be sent such a thing.. Perhaps you have a "guardian modder."

It wasn't anonymous, it was someone in the irc channel, but so long ago I've forgotten. They said they had it, I asked for it and they obliged.Iveforgotmypassword wrote...

Thanks I'm hanging on to these but can't use them in my module because I've finished the hak and really can't test out a new one just in case something goes wrong. But for future use do you just put them in your override and are these the ones kamal mentioned that you have to be careful with ?

They can go in the override or in the campaign folder. They really should just be released on the vault for everyone, since no one knows who the author is and so many people have just vanished. If there is an issue, then they can speak up.
