Why dost thou hate me, RNG?
Is it some fault with you, or me?
For 18 months I’ve played thy game,
And all the while have felt no shame.
To get Uncommons, then all the Rares,
I played any time that I could spare.

I braved the stunlock of the Geth
Like a Navy SEAL on crystal meth.
Though Phantoms sought to torture us
I fought the ranks of Cerberus.
And with the fighting heart of the Comanche
I took on the Reapers' Banshee.
E’en when Collectors' mob mentality
Drowned my squad in vast brutality,
Yet again returned I to the fray,
In the hope more credits would come my way.

I recall the joy that swelled in me
The day I unlocked the QFE.
And my ardent rapture was all too plain
When I unlocked my Hurricane.
Now my only wish is one last phenom:
To unlock the multi-bomblet Venom.
Yet every PSP I buy
Does naught but troll me by the by,
With Target VIs and Cryo Ammo
Or Valkyrie and Eagle spammo.

With Deus Ex and Witcher 2
And Titanfall on the horizon,
I quit ME each empty night
And find myself surmisin’:
That perhaps the fates are telling me
To be content with my full cup.
And to bow out, for a time at least,
For, RNG: thy number is up.

While not a big fan of poetry, that was really well done. And sums up how I feel too.
