So pre-ordering and throwing more money out there, We're getting some cool looking weapons and armour but How long are we really going to use these?

Depends upon how their stat bonuses stack up against the normal equipment.

Considering how these armors (and the N7 armor) have percentile stat boosts, I'd think they'd be situational, and vary with your stats. If regular equipment is also percentile-based, then it would almost always be situational.

are you talking about how to use them compair to the other gear?
or how to use them interms of installing them?

If its the first question just base off of your stats and what class you are.
If its how to install them it will be just like how you added the dlc/promo codes in for dragon age.

Good question. The download items are probably pretty decent. Once one of my DAO characters was strong enough they used the Blood Dragon armor throughout the game so.....

I'm pretty sure that Christina Norman said that you can upgrade them, just like regular armor, thus allowing them to be relevant the entire game. You can't customize or take them apart though.

Upgradeable special armors, that is awesome.



Still I am going to have Terminus, Inferno, Blood Dragon, Collector, default, and any you acquire.

From my experience with DA:O and the Blood Dragon Armor... well, I guess they'll be really good through the entire game... In DA:O, once I put my Blood Dragon Armor on, I never changed it.

When I can use them until I find equipment that benefits me more.

as long as you want too. If you find something slightly better that you oh must switch too.. then only that long. But if you find something that is slightly better but still use what you have, then it will last longer.

As we all know, ME1 bonus items came along just about when you needed them, but starting out with lvl 1 gear was a challenge in some of the fire fights.



I assume the bonus ME2 gear will help strengthen the character. However, in so far as the bonus gear may not be upgradeable, I would expect to transition to upgraded in game gear when appropriate.



I look forward to the experience of learning these nuances of ME2.
