Irony, this word is a noun, use of the word is to convey a meaning that is opposite of it literal meaning. Example of irony is if a person had to work all weekend not that it would be a fun thing but they might say How Nice! When I actuality they really mean the do not want to work the weekend. Irony is used when someone wants to convey something totally opposite of that they really would like to say. There is also Socratic irony which is profession of ignorance and of willingness to learn as one interrogates another on the meaning of the term. There is also Dramatic irony which means expressing oneself in a dramatic or exaggerated way. Irony can be stated in several different forms depending on the individual.

But anyway I'll just ignore the thread now.

*Sigh*

And you guys claim to be adults? I'm no adult, but c'mon, but do you guys prove, picking on me over the internet, demoting my thread? And I know what comes next.

"We're not picking on you, grow up."

You may not refer to it was "picking", but it's still disrespecting me for no reason. All I did was create some things that I thought were funny and entertaining, at first, I didn't mean to put them on the internet, I was just showing my friend. Then I thought it'd be fun to try and be nice, and share it with you guys, and it blows up in my face for no reason.:/

And here I was thinking that most of the adults here were respectable. Boy, I was wrong.

Dude, welcome to the real world. Every piece of work I've done has been nitpicked down to the bare bones skeleton by people to my face. I've had to defend my decisions to more people than just on the internet. I'd tell this to your face, too, by the way.

All i did at first was ask you what your piece meant (politely), and I was met with a less than helpful canned response.

By the way - not one person has brought up your age.

Ok, TGW, we sort of had this discussion when you posted your fic and you seemed to take the constructive criticism over there alright.  So here goes, people on the internet are mean.  Sure there are nice folks out there, but a lot of people?  They are just big meanies.  When you post things on the net, you need to be prepared to have spitballs o' spite spat in your direction.  It's going to happen.  It could be the most awesome piece of radness out there, but someone is still going to have an opinion that it blows donkey poo.

You need to learn to not take stuff personally.

I'm bringing up THEIR'S. And I wouldn't "nitpick" anyone's piece, which is why I think I'm infuriated. Even if I disliked it, I would still leave something encouraging.

Perhaps I'm over-reacting, I dunno. I should probably just coold down. Sorry.

Yeah, I'm over-reacting... sorry guys, there's a lot going on at home, and I'm not just saying that. I'm bipolar, too, so that' "eh".

I won't get into it because this isn't "Aww, let's feel sorry for TGW." Bleh. Sorry guys. I need to cool off.

I don't think anyone was trying to discourage you. You got defensive when someone said they didn't get it and asked what it meant.

Then, instead of being helpful and explaining, you just said "if you don't get it, go away...", so... I don't think you've a right to complain.

ok man im gonna tell it like it is

1.) if people dont get it, explain what your trying to do. don't start to complain that people are picking on you and were demoting your thread. criticism is a natural part of life man

2.) claiming that someones post on your thread is irrelevant and doesnt mean anything is the same as someone commin in here and saying your post is stupid, which i may be mistaken but i havent seen anyone say it is, just people saying there confused.

3.) we're not picking on you, grow up   Image IPB jk man
